EA today announced that EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will hit Wii on June 16. They also confirmed that these two will be the first Wii games published by EA that support the upcoming MotionPlus controller add-on.

The controller add-on, revealed last summer, promises to improve the accuracy of the Wii Remote’s motion-sensing capabilities to an almost 1:1 scale. It is to be bundled with Wii Sports Resort this spring.

The publisher notes that gamers will get a “near perfect 1:1 swing” in Tiger Woods with the accessory and that Grand Slam Tennis will offer the “deepest tennis experience” when coupled with the add-on.

Log on to Xbox live and you’re likely to find a whole lot of offensive content. Not in the games, but coming from some of the players. It’s a bit of a cliche but there are racial slurs, insults and epithets flying wildly. It’s possible to report players for these kinds of comments, but with their continual presence it doesn’t seem like Microsoft is doing much to curtail this sort of activity. They do have a rather harsh policy for some sort of ‘offensive activities‘.

An Xbox Live member (well, former member) named Teresa was banned for saying someone was a lesbian: herself. When she found herself banned from the service she contacted Microsoft she was informed that other members found her sexual orientation offensive and that the ban would be lifted. Despite reporting harassment from other players regarding this issue, no action was taken on her behalf.

Unfortunately I don’t think Microsoft would accept arguments of bigotry, intolerance and ignorance as offensive, so the people who reported this unfortunate woman will go unpunished.

Microsoft has been working hard at getting the Xbox 360 to sell well in Japan. With its shooter heavy focus it failed to appeal to the tastes of Japanese gamers, but once again the console has shot to the top of the sales list. It’s happened before and it doesn’t take a business expert to realize why.

Just recently Square Enix released the Xbox 360 exclusive JRPG Star Ocean: The Last Hope and as when Eternal Sonata came out the Microsoft console shot up the charts. During the week ending February 22nd the Xbox 360 sold 21,013 units, more than four thousand units more than the Wii and five thousand more than the PS3.

The game itself sold 173,850 units in four days to climb to the top of the sales charts for Japan.

The game hasn’t even been announced yet but thanks to the Australian Classification Office, we now known that Worms Armageddon: Decades is set to hit the Xbox Live Arcade.

I recall playing Worms Armageddon on the PC when it was originally released in 1999 and if I remember correctly it was tremendously fun.

Now, with some top notch graphics and along with an abundance new content, a whole new generation of gamers could be introduced to the Worms universe. That is, if they didn’t play the original Worms Xbox Live Arcade game in 2007.

Ubisoft has recently released the above trailer detailing the sequel to Call of Juarez, Call of Jaurez: Bound in Blood.

As you can see in the trailer, Bound in Blood will let the player take control of either of the McCall brothers as they battle it out in Mexico utilizing all sorts of Wild Western tactics.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is currently under development by Techland and will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC sometime this year. Looks epic.
