It was just formally announced yesterday that the Limited Edition red Xbox 360 Elite featuring Resident Evil 5 actually officiallyexists, and now its already up for pre-order.
Amazon is listing the console at $399.99 with a release date of March 13th. Considering it ships with Resident Evil 5 itself and a token good for Street Fighter II HD Remix and a Resident Evil Dashboard theme, on top of the fact it’s an Elite SKU, it’s not a bad deal.
Head over to Amazon.com’s listing for the product to pre-order it now.

It was recently announced that Johnathan Blow’s Braid will be hitting Steam’s digital download service on March 31st.
The game’s been out for the Xbox Live Arcade since August 6th of last year and hasn’t been considered for the PC until now. If you’re not familiar with Braid, it’s based around the main character Tim as he quests to rescue his princess in a platformer, side scrolling fashion.
Braid will hit Steam on March 31st for $14.99.

Word has recently been released, thanks to cheif creative officer of Acclaim David Perry, that the PSP 2 is real, and could hit as early as this fall. However, the above picture will not be the PSP 2, bummer.
“I spoke to a developer who is working on it right now,” he said. “I know this developer is already working on it, so that means they have a prototype. That would sound like a fall release to me.”
But what’s different from the pervious version of the PSP? Well, according to Perry, Sony is planning on exclusively digital. This means that there is no UMD slot and games will be purchased through the Playstation Store.
Is this a good move for Sony or are they just jumping the gun in an attempt to be ahead of the competition?

Originally announced for release this year, EA today sent out word that “Dead Space meets God of War in Hell” game Dante’s Inferno has been delayed to next year.
Inspired by the classic 14th century poem by Dante Alighieri, the game will have players step into the shoes of Dante who embarks on a quest to save Beatrice from Hell. He wields the scythe of Death and proceeds to chop up demons and whatever beasts Hell is host to.
Several previews of the game – IGN and Eurogamer come to mind – have popped up online. The game is due out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Rumors that Sega has canned Obsidian’s long-in-development Aliens RPG has been confirmed by former Obsidian designer David Kondor. This comes from his LinkedIn profile that lists him as a “designer for canceled third-person action Aliens RPG” at Obsidian from April 2008 to February 2009.
The game was announced back in 2006, but very few updates from the studio were given since. Rumors of its cancellation surfaced earlier this month. Sega is said to also be reviewing other Aliens games in the pipeline.
Sega and Obsidian are yet to officially address the rumors.
PopCap is going crazy on the DS, it seems, as the publisher told Forbes that it is planning to bring Bookworm and Bejeweled Twist to the dual-screened handheld soon, alongside Peggle: Dual Shot.
Bookworm will have players find words in a randomized tablet of letters. Bejeweled Twist, based on the classic game, has players matching three or more blocks of the same color.
Additionally, PopCap VP Greg Canessa teased the company’s upcoming original PC game – quite oddly titled Plants vs. Zombies. It was described as a combination of “the real-time strategy genre, the tower defense games and collectible card games – but in a casual context.”
Last week we reported that God of War 3 and MAG would be released this year – it was revealed through Sony’s press release for Killzone 2.
Now we sadly report that the aforementioned games may not come until March next year. Sony said that its numerous “groundbreaking exclusives”, including MAG and God of War 3 will arrive within the fiscal year, which doesn’t conclude until March 2010.
Basically, those games may not arrive until March 31, 2010, at the very latest. It can be noted that none of the two games were given any definite release dates so far. Additionally, it can be mentioned that all past God of War games have launched in March.
CCP today revealed the contents of the upcoming EVE Online retail release, which is set for launch on March 10. The box will include the game itself and ten of its free expansions, including the upcoming update “Apocrypha”. In addition, it will also ship with 60 days of free game time.
A monthly subscription to the MMO costs $14.95, and the retail box costs $34.95, so this means the thing will nearly pay for itself.
The studio added that the game time can be used to extend an existing subscription or be split into two 30-day codes that can be sold for in-game currency.
There will also be other extras in the box, including instant war access, exclusive career guide, VIP pass and an exclusive in-game ship.
