The Witcher Among Top 100 Best-selling PC Games of All Time
Developer CD Projekt claims that its action-RPG game The Witcher – having sold over 1.2 million copies since its October 2007 release – is now among the 100 best-selling PC games of all time.
"Because of those numbers, The Witcher has jumped onto the list of the 100 bestselling PC games in history," CD Projekt RED marketing coordinator Karol Zajaczkowski wrote.
The 1.2 million figure includes both retail and digital distribution sales.
The morally ambiguous RPG is based off the works of Andrzej Sapkowski. Since its release in 2007, the game saw an enhanced re-release offering better animation and more content, among other things. A rebuilt console version is due out this fall on PS3 and Xbox 360.
