Dead Rising 2 Multiplayer Not Confirmed Yet

The internets went into hyperventilation mode earlier today when word came up that Dead Rising 2 would feature multiplayer.
This came from a GDC presentation of the game by Mental Images product manager Laura Scholl who inadvertently confirmed that multiplayer modes would be present in the game.
If that were true, it would be a first for the series, as the original Xbox 360 game and its Wii remake do not feature any sort of multiplayer. However, it’s not, as Laura Scholl actually meant to say “multiplatform” and not “multiplayer”, Joystiq reports.
Meanwhile, Capcom is playing it cool, pointing out that the game is still in its early stages when asked about possible multiplayer support.
