We learned that Burnout Paradise would be hitting the Steam service earlier this month but it was made official via Steam’s website that the game is now on the service.
Entitled Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, this $39.99 version included Burnout Paradise in its entirety including all of the free updates issued for the game as well as the Cagney and Bike content, and the Party Pack.
While we learned that F.E.A.R 2 would be getting a DLC pack called Toy Soldiers sometime next month, we weren’t sure exactly how much they would cost.
Well, Monolith, the games developer, recently announced that the pack will be completely free for both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners.
Included in the Toy Soldiers DLC pack are a number of large maps for use with multiplayer. Capitalizing on the Toy Soldiers moniker, the pack will have players appear as if they are miniature as they duke it out in places like a pinball machine (pictured above).
For those of you that are really into the look of video game characters, your sure to be drooling over the latest addition to the Street Fighter 4 DLC arsenal.
Included in the Femme Fatale Pack, which was released some time ago, are all new costumes for the women of Street Fighter IV.
As you can see above, it’s safe to say that these costumes removed some clothing instead of added it.
A new trailer showcasing the new “Verrückt” Nazi Zombie map for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: World at War has hit the internet today.
Featuring in the video is a general low down of the map along with an important feature; perks in the form of cola’s. You’ll be able to drink cola found in various machines that give you powerups like the ability to shoot faster and the ability to quickly revive a downed teammate.
Sounds cool, but how will it stack up against the much loved original zombie map?
Not too long ago the official box art for EA Sports’ upcoming Fight Night Round 4 was revealed to the public and now we have our hands on the first official gameplay footage.
Included above is said footage featuring all sorts of epic music along with real game play footage featuring Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson dukin’ it out.
Fight Night Round 4 is expected to ship for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this summer. Also, expect demos on both consoles at some point in the not-too-distant future.
It was recently made known that 10 elementary and middle schools in Osaka, Japan are now requiring that all students have a Nintendo DS. But why?
Well, according to That Video Game Blog, using the Nintendo DS as an educational tool in Japan is a lot bigger and more widely recognized than it is in the States. Sure we have some educational games, but nothing like what Japan has.
Apparently, the schools will be giving out games and other software for use with the Nintendo DS to actually help kids learn. I think the United States could learn something from this if these Japanese trials are deemed successful.
Capcom has recently issued a statement regarding the fact that they will be charging for the Resident Evil 5 Versus mode that we learned about earlier today:
Although Versus mode makes use of the assets that exist in the game, the functionality is not currently in the game and is above and beyond the initial scope of Resident Evil 5,” the publisher said. “We have never included a versus mode in Resident Evil before, and as well as the costs of development of the feature, there’s also additional bandwidth costs associated with it.
So basically they are saying that since it’d never been in the game before, and it wasn’t originally on the drawing board it’s ok to charge for it. I guess it makes sense…
But, if Resident Evil 5‘s matchmaking is going to be anything like Street Fighter IV‘s, I’ll save my 5 bucks.
I’ve you’ve stayed with us, you know that back in December we heard that New York had a bill in the works that would potentially tax things like downloadable map packs offered over Xbox Live.
Well, word has recently gotten to us that New York has scrapped the idea stating the reason as the passing of the stimulus bill. The original plan arised to help decrease the state’s $1.3 billion dollar debt but with the stimulus bill and more money coming their way, they deemed it unnecessary.
This is good news as Destructoid reports that this bill could have increased the price of DLC by up to 8%.
It seems that talks regarding the Ghostbusters theme song coming to Rock Band in some sort of song pack are underway.
A recent interview done by Eurogamer with Ray Parker Jr., originator of the theme song, reveals this information. When asked if he’d like to see the theme in Rock Band he replied:
We were just talking about that, we’re working on it now. I think they should have Ghostbusters in Rock Band.
So there you have it, no official details, prices, or release dates to go by, just a statement from Ray Parker Jr. himself.
