Recently revealed via the Playstation Blog was both the official box art and release date for Sucker Punch Productions’ forthcoming inFamous.
inFamous lets players take control of Cole McGrath bike messenger and resident of Empire City. The game will be of the 3rd persion sand-box type and will allow players to choose from good or evil with actions effecting the game.
Sucker Punch’s inFamous is set to hit shelves as a PS3 exclusive sometime this June. Also, information regarding a demo of the game will be announced in the near future.
Considering the game’s graphics, probably not. However, when asked why there is no Wii version of Resident Evil 5, Capcom’s Associate Product Marketing Manager, Matt Dahlgren, responded with the following: “It was made for the Xbox 360 and PS3. That being said, Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon.”
Happy very soon, huh? Well, Mr. Dahlgren what ever does that mean?
Since he said that Resident Evil 5 was made for the PS3 and Xbox 360, that pretty effectively squashes the chance of the Wii seeing it. Therefore, we can only be led to believe that the Wii will be getting it’s own exclusive Resident Evil title.
If this rumor is true theres no question about it, Activision is looking to suck the Guitar Hero franchise for all it’s worth, and I don’t blame them even though these announcements get somewhat repetitive.
Recent speculation suggests that Activision is working on a new Guitar Hero based on popular band Van Halen, appropriately titled Guitar Hero: Van Halen.
Joystiq reports that Guitar Hero: Van Halen will be on it’s way out the door once Guitar Hero: Metallica hits shelves, along with the 50 other Guitar Hero games Activision has in works.
While the game was leaked to have been coming by the ESRB some time ago, Activision has recently officially announced it’s existance.
Entitled Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits, it is the latest game in the Guitar Hero series developed for the Nintendo DS handheld. The game will feature 25 songs with announced ones listen below:
Wolfmother “Dimension”
Coldplay “Violet Hill”
Lenny Kravitz “Where Are We Runnin’”
Evanescence “Sweet Sacrifice”
The Strokes “Reptilia”
The Bravery “Unconditional”
Fall Out Boy “This Ain’t A Scene”
Weezer “Everybody Get Dangerous”
The Kaiser Chiefs “Ruby”
12 Stones “Adrenaline”
Tenacious D “The Metal”
Atreyu “Falling Down”
Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits will ship this June for the Nintendo DS.
Rumor has it that Microsoft is currently planning to return the Xbox 360 Elite to limited availablity as they original wanted.
But why? Well, since the Elite is priced significantly higher than the lower tier models, consumer demand has dropped due to the economy leading retailers to be less fond of the SKU.
When I say they will be returned to limited availability, I mean that Microsoft will take advantage of it’s marketability and use it to coincide with the release of games like they did with Resident Evil 5.
While this is still just a rumor it seems completely plausible.
It looks like GameStop may have finally met its match in terms of the used videogame market.
After Amazon.com’s recent announcement that they will begin testing a trade-in video game program, GameStop’s stocks dropped a full 13% ending the day $3.54 lower than the previous price.
I don’t know about you guys, but if Amazon offers more money for trade-ins than GameStop does, I have no problem receiving Amazon store credit for it.
The SciFi Channel has recently released the above trailer which details a new show they have in the works; WCG Ultimate Gamer. Think MTV’s Real World, but with gamers.
The WCG Ultimate Gamer will take 12 gamers from across the country, put them in a loft in downtown LA, and see who is the best.
The grand prize stands at $100,000, along with a whole slew of top of the line Samsung products and a change to represent the US at WCG events around the world.
Sounds cool, will premiere March 10th on the SciFi Channel.
Since Killzone 2 hit shelves there have been a small number of complaints regarding its controls. Well, a patch has recently been released, version 1.2, that has been rumored to slightly alter the controls.
Gamezine reports that the update has effectively elimnated the problems which included input lag issues.
What about you guys? Have you a little more peppiness in the Killzone 2 controls ever since 1.2 was released?
