The twice-delayed South Central add-on for Midnight Club: Los Angeles is now finally available on Xbox Live.

The free expansion is temporarily an Xbox Live Gold-only download, while anyone willing to part with 800 Microsoft points ($10) can grab the Premium upgrade.

Both DLC expand the city of the racer by roughly 33%, while the premium adds more races, cars and music.

burnoutparadise A new v1.1 patch for Burnout Paradise is now available, allowing gamers to purchase the latest downloadable content for the action-racer.

The update features the content needed to unlock the Legendary, Toy and Boost special vehicles – already released as paid DLC on consoles. They can be purchased from the in-game Burnout Store. The patch has to be applied if players wish to go online and have fun.

250px-HideoKojima Celebrated developer Hideo Kojima has teased that he could announce a new entry in the Metal Gear Solid series in June during the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

"Maybe we can do some announcement during E3," said Kojima during a Q&A session held at a San Francisco Apple Store. He was there to promote the iPhone release of Metal Gear Solid Touch.

"I can’t really speak specifically right now," he added.

Kojima is known to have four unannounced projects in the works, with the first due out by the end of the year.

This year’s E3 takes place June 2-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

According to Info World, Microsoft accidentally confirmed the RC1 release date of Windows 7. On the official Windows 7 website, Microsoft revelaed (and confirmed the many rumors), that Windows 7: Release Candidate 1 will be available this May and will be active for one year (the previous Win 7 beta expires this August).

Windows 7 is the successor to the much criticized Windows Vista. Win 7 will bring DirectX 11 to PC gamers (alongside a ton of other improvements), and is scheduled for release this fall.

Ubisoft’s newest offer in the week long Steam sale is the “Classic Pack”, a collection of older classics that includes Beyond Good & Evil, Dark Messiah Might and Magic, Far Cry, and IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946.

The pack will retail for only $9.99 and is available in the next 24 hours. Ubisoft also revealed that the Far Cry 2 $15 offer will last until Monday.

Sony has taken a new approach when it comes to securing exclusives to its PlayStation Network. The company will fund development of PSN games, and in return, require that they remain exclusive to the PlayStation Network.

The initiative, known as The Pub Fund, was announced yesterday during a GDC panel on self-publishing. Sony said that despite funding the development of the game, the developers will still own the IP. The first game to be funded by this initiative, Burn Zombie Burn, by developer Doublesix, is now available on PSN.

Intel and Nvidia have been fighting over a number of issues for a while, after years of hostile environment between the two chip-giants.

Earlier this year, Intel sued Nvidia for breaching an agreement on chipset licensing for the new Nehalem/Core i7 platform. Nvidia revealed today that they have countersued Intel for breach of contract regarding the SLI license. The suit also terminated Intel’s SLI license as well.

Squre Enix has completed its acquisition of Eidos Interactive, as Eidos shareholders approved the buyout. A formal announcement is expected in the upcoming weeks.

According to reports, Eidos will continue to operate from London and maintain some degree of independence when it comes to developing games. Square Enix will take over two very known franchises in the process; Tomb Raider and Hitman.

When I was initially viewing the teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 I didn’t take much notice that Call of Duty wasn’t included in the title.

Well, it seems that Infinity Ward did this on purpose, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be known as simply Modern Warfare 2. There’s not details on why the Call of Duty moniker was dropped by given Call of Duty 4‘s success, it definitly deserves it’s own title.

Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 is set to hit shelves on November 10th of this year.
