As hard as it might be to believe, this is not a late April Fools joke: Twisted Pixel Games, makers of The Maw, have announced ‘Splosion Man, an action platformer starring the titular hero.

The game is due out on Xbox Live Arcade and will offer the ability to. well, ‘splode yourself at will.

"Any scientist he catches is ‘sploded into chunks of ham and ribeyes, the smell of their destruction terrifying, but also a little succulent," wrote a twisted mind from Twisted Pixel.

It will support up to four co-op players (both on and offline) and online leaderboards. The game is set to explode “shortly before the world is incinerated.”
