Gamers from the original Playstation era will be happy to hear that the ESRB has recently leaked the names of some titles set to hit the PSN PSOne Classics store.
Those 5 titles are:
Metal Gear Solid
Resident Evil: Director’s Cut
Spec Ops: Covert Assault
Spec Ops: Ranger Elite
Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six
Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil? Wow Sony, are you actually listening to the cries of gamers everywhere? Great job, now let’s just see that PS3 Slim hit shelves with a lowered price and maybe we’ll be onto something.

The game was goofy as hell, PopCap’s take on a tower defense game pitting Plants vs. Zombies. Well, this comes as a surprise but PopCap has announced the game to be their fastest-selling game of all time. Yes, even more than Peggle and Bejeweled.
PopCap attributes Plants vs. Zombies‘ success to the unqiue gameplay and ability to hold its value even after the player has progressed through the story mode.
Good job PopCap, you’ve succeeded at making another casual game to rival the addictiveness of World of Warcrack Warcraft.

It seems that All Points Bulletin will have a competitor as Vogster has recently announced their MMOFPS CrimeCraft is set to hit shelves for the PC on August 25th.
If you’ve been following the game you’ll know that it entered into a closed beta last month with Vogster handing out invite codes to those who applied. The game is apparantly powered by the Unreal Engine 3 and will feature all sorts of crime-related gameplay.
Hey, at least it’s not called World of CrimeCraft.

The first thing I thought when I heard ZeniMax Media (parent company to Bethesda) applied for a trademark for Brink was the 1998 Disney Channel movie. A game based on the movie? Count me in.
Unfortunately, Joystiq thinks otherwise pondering that the trademark might be for a Wii title, a title from Splash Damage, or perhaps an MMO rumored to be in the works.
Whatever the case, it’s probably not a game based on the movie so I’m thoroughly disappointed.

Valve has updated the Sniper update page for one last go, this time introducing “Jarate”, what is Jarate you ask? Well, it’s exactly what it looks like in the above picture, bottled urine.
Sure it’s gross but you have to see the humor in it a Sniper generally sits in the same area for extended periods of time with no bathroom breaks so it only makes sense they would have to “go” in a jar. Might as well make use of that jar, right?
If you happen to get hit with a Jarate you’re going to take 35% more damage for a period of time unless you jump into some water to wash it off. Better yet, it puts out flames and short circuits the Spy’s cloaking devices.
Oh yeah, they also gave us a list of the new Sniper achievements, but who cares, Jarate rules!

If you’ve ever played Jambo! Safari as a kid in the arcade you’ll probably agree with me when I say this game kicked ass. Thankfully, Sega has decided to capitalize on the game’s ass-kickery and announced a Wii port.
If, however, you’ve never played this game all it basically is is driving around in various vehicles attempting to catch and/or photograph different African animals. Doesn’t sound fun? Well then you obviously haven’t played it.
The Wii port is said to be called Jambo! Safari Ranger Adventure with the Nintendo DS port titled Jambo! Safari Animal Rescue. Now if I can just dust off my Wii and find that Wiimote I misplaced after getting bored of Wii Sports months ago…

If you’re looking for a super realistic racing game, this isn’t the one. The game you’re looking for is Need for Speed: Shift. If, however you are looking for a casual racer for the Wii and/or Nintendo DS, Need for Speed: NITRO may be just for you.
All we have to go by at this point are some screenshots for both consoles and from the looks of it, they look like exactly what you’d expect from a Wii or DS title; lackluster visual. OK so the gameplay might be there but a racing game without bangin’ graphics just isn’t for me.
You can check out some more screenshots, including ones from the Nintendo DS version, thanks to Kotaku, here.
