I’ve always been a fan of sniping, no matter the game. However, there’s nothing worse than getting stabbed in the back when your scoped in. Luckily, thanks to Valve’s recent Sniper Update, that will be a thing of the past.

Introducing The Razorback, a shield that the Team Fortress 2 Sniper class will wear on his back. However, it’s no ordinary shield, it’s wired up with a car battery so whoever makes the mistake of stabbing you will get jolted with 10,000 volts of electricity. Instant death anyone?

Like always, you can head here to find out more information and follow the Sniper’s daily updates.

EA is all about making their sports games as realistic as possible and NHL 10 is no exception. The mega developer/publisher has recently announced that NHL 10 will bring an all new element of realism to hockey fights in the form of a first person camera angle.

The NHL 08 fighting was ridiculous, the NHL 09 fighting wasn’t much better, let’s hope that EA got it right this time around.

Other than the fighting, EA lets players know that gameplay tweaks such as glass-banging crowds, and an all new physics engine for the boards. Best of all, EA will introduce enforcers to the franchise, you know, the hockey players who are recruited just to get into fights.

NHL 10 is sure to be a hands down improvement over the previous games when its September 8th release date for the Xbox 360 and PS3 rolls around.

Sure, just yesterday we got wind that Sony UK denied the existence of a Slim PS3 but if the above snapshot is to be believed the exact opposite may be true.

As you can see, the picture isn’t in exactly the best quality not to mention the fact that it looks a bit fishy.

Real or fake, take it as you will but E3 is just a few weeks away and would be the perfect place for Sony to announce such a product.

True Games has recently announced that their MMORPG, Warrior Epic, is set to have an official PC launch on May 19th. If you’ve been following the game you’ll know that on April 30th Warrior Epic had entered its closed beta stage now almost out of no where the game is ready for an official launch. Founder and Chairman of True Games, Jeff Lujan, had this to say:

Our beta testers have given us a lot of great feedback and we are confident that the game is now reaching a point where we can provide the Warrior Epic community an engaging and compelling experience

Hm Mr. Lujan, let’s hope you know what you are doing I mean no one likes unfinished games.

Rumors have been circulating that Realtime Worlds, developers of the upcoming MMO action game APB, All Points Bulletin, would be showcased at E3, more specifically, the Microsoft Press Event. Eurogamer tried to get a comment on the story, but Realtime Worlds declined to comment. We’ll see at E3, as ABP has been in development for years now, and is, according to rumors, scheduled for release this year.

Realtime Worlds has previously developed the Xbox 360 open world action game Crackdown, which has since become somewhat of a cult-classic.

E3 is just around the corner which means the hype train is in full speed. To add to said hype train Kojima has gone ahead and launched a teaser site for an upcoming project they are working on.

As you can see from the above screenshot there is nothing more than a field and cloudy sky, what could this mean? Let’s hope Kojima is working on another Metal Gear title.

If the teaser looks familiar it’s because it looks similar to the scenery featured in the print teaser ad that we got wind of yesterday. Oh E3, you are so close yet so far away.

You can view the site here.

One of the most anticipated and touted films this year would have to be that of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Along with that comes the notion that a new video game is not far behind, something that EA and Warner Bros. have officially confirmed.

Electronic Arts Inc. and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game will be in stores across the world from June 30, 2009, just ahead of the Warner Bros. Pictures’ film based on J.K. Rowling’s sixth book in the Harry Potter series.

In the game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron’s romantic entanglements as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince.

Developed by EA Bright Light in Guildford, England – the team behind the worldwide success of the Harry Potter library of games including the most recent game released in the summer of 2007, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is scheduled for release in North America on June 30, 2009 for the Wii, PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, Nintendo DS, Windows PC, Macintosh and mobile devices.

The Uncharted series is one of those series that makes the PS3 what it is, you know, like Uncharted is to the PS3 as Halo is to the Xbox 360. Okay, not really, but you get the point.

Anyways, Naughty Dog has just released the above video giving us the first look at what the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves singleplayer gameplay will look like. The visuals are absolutely stunning not to mention the ingame physics but take a look at the video and see for yourself.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is currently slated for a Fall 2009 release as a Playstation 3 exclusive.

BioShock 2 is set to release sometime in Q4 of 2009 so it only makes sense that the game’s developers, 2K Marin, release some gameplay footage, right?

Well that’s exactly what they did, they’ve released the above footage of some BioShock 2 footage along with one of the game’s developers talking it over. The film is entitled Hunting the Big Sister and shows how the player will be able to take control of a “Big Daddy”, a feature absent from the first game.

If I got anything out of watching “Hunting the Big Sister” it’s that BioShock 2 is going to kick some major ass.
