Tecmo-Koei Merger Official

On June 26th, 2009 in Uncategorized -

Japanese cartoons are often full of upgrades, secret levels of hidden power and groups of robots coming together to form one huge, all-powerful robot. In that spirit Japanese gaming powerhouses Tecmo and Koei have merged to become one omnipotent company hell-bent on destroying the world. Well, not destroying the world so much as selling tons of video games, but some conservatives would argue they’re the same thing.

The merger has begun with the European branches, with Tecmo Koei Europe waving at the world from London, fish and chips in one hand, controller in the other. The first title that’ll be undertaken by this new corporate being is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. We’ll be seeing a demo for the game some time in September this year, with full details of when they hope to release it coming in July.
