Frozenbyte responds to Trine pricing controversy
Word comes from publisher Nobilis that the PS3 edition of Trine will be half the $40 retail price of the PC edition. It can be noted that while many stores do list the game for less than the MRP, the $29.99 listed on Steam is still more than its PS3 counterpart.
Frozenbyte offered some light on the sure-to-be controversial topic, noting that pricing guidelines were set by the publisher. Their post stated their belief that $30 is a valid price point for a full retail game and that the production values of Trine mark it as such. Additionally, they wrote that the company now has over 20 employees and that they are “confident that. can deliver a full retail experience with Trine.”
