It seems that Amazon is following Walmart’s example and holding a sale except this time it’s a bit different, Amazon is discounting games you actually care about.

This is a apparantly a father’s day sale and includes Xbox 360 games and Wii and PS3 accessories. While you won’t be getting these games for $20 a piece they do have Call of Duty 4 for $29.99, CoD: WaW for $41.97 and Halo Wars for $41.99.

While some buyers are sure to purchase one or two of these games for Dad, I think I’ll be picking a couple 2-3 up for myself.

Sony’s E3 presention of its new Playstation Motion Control was nothing short of spectacular; being able to track a user’s movement in real-time holds endless possibilites for new games. But waht about existing PS3 games? Will they be left in the dust?

Well according to SCEA President, Jack Tretton, using the new controller with old games is definitly possible:

Personally, it’s very difficult for me to perceive God of War 3 being played with the Wii controller, it’s a different experience that doesn’t lend itself to certain types of games. [But] I think our [motion] controller can be used with every game that’s on the system now – and every game we’re working on.

Well Mr. Tretton, we’ll have to see it before we believe it. Let’s just hope they tweak the look of the controller before it hits the market cause in it’s current state it looks a bit ridiculous.

After confirming that Battlefield 3 was i development, EA confirmed that another DICE game was in development as well, this time, the sequel of the innovative 3D platformer Mirror’s Edge.

This is despite lackluster sales and rather disappointing reviews of Mirror’s Edge, which still managed to sell over a million copies. Developer DICE on the other hand, expected sales of over 3 million. Expect Mirror’s Edge 2 sometimes in 2010.
