A demo for Nation Red has now hit the web. DiezelPower Studios’ infinite zombie shooter puts you in an arena where you are pitted against several game modes with many weapons at your arsenal.
Nation Red is scheduled for release next week on content distribution services such as Direct2Drive. You can alternatively download the game directly from the official website right away.
I haven’t really heard much about this game until now, but from the looks of it, it doesn’t look bad at all.
You can download the 324 MB demo over at GamersHell.
A trailer for the upcoming Fallout 3DLC, Mothership Zeta, has surfaced. In this DLC, the aliens are back and they’re not exactly happy. You’ll even be able to experience an alien abduction first hand. This will be the fifth and final downloadable content available. It will be released August 3rd for the Xbox 360 and PC versions. The PlayStation 3 version will have to wait until the rest of the packs have been released.
What’s left for Fallout 3 after Mothership Zeta has launched? We know that a Game of The Year edition, which includes all five of the DLC installments, will be out in stores this October.
Atari’s RPG The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut has shipped today to North American retailers. It’s basically the same thing as the original Enhanced Edition released one year ago, except without the nudity censorship made for the US release. Any Europeans who are planning to import have no need to do so.
A patch enables this nudity for all you perverts out there, so it’s you can have had all along in the first place.
The patch is at around ~300MB and can be downloaded from GamersHell.
In response to an Edge Magazine article regarding RAGE’s performance on the PlayStation 3, id Software has posted on their Twitterpage that they are “committed to ensuring that gamers on all platforms have a great RAGE experience.”
id Software’s John D. Carmack commented that the “PS3 lags a little bit behind in terms of getting the performance out of it.” The article reported that the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game were running at a full 60 fps, while the PlayStation 3 port was falling behind at a mere 20-30 fps.
I don’t think that the Twitter post was necessary though, it’s in any developer’s best interest to fix a game, especially one with as much reputation as id. The comments were most probably directed on the development stages of the game, and not the final product.
Monster Hunter 3 hits stores in Japan today, and naturally Capcom has released a launch trailer for the game. The video demonstrates a lot of the different environments that can be played in your journey to hunt down a bunch of monsters.
The North American retail release for the real-time-strategy East India Company was today, but Europe will have to wait until the 14th. If you can’t wait for that long, you can grab a demo recently released by the game’s publisher, Paradox Interactive.
The demo weighs in at ~790MB, which isn’t bad considering the game has some pretty intense graphics. You can download it over at FileFront.
A nice little video launch trailer was also released yesterday, so be sure to check that out to decide if the demo’s worth your time.
Shanda Games and SNK Playmore will be developing a new spin-off of the King of Fighters franchise called KOF World. The game will essentially be King of Fighters XII on an online platform for the PC, except with the mix of MMORPG elements. The game will be exclusive to China for now, but there’s always a possibility that it will reach other parts of the world.
“We are very pleased to work with Shanda Games and very optimistic about the prospects of our partnership,” said Mr. Soichiro Hosoya, President of SNK Playmore. “We are honored that the KOF series has always been favored by Chinese game players, and KOF World is a game that we will work closely together with Shanda Games to develop, especially for Chinese players. We look forward to the game’s continued success.”
