Activision shuts down Shaba Games

Activision has closed Shaba Games, developers of Spider-man: Web of Shadows. Shaba Games was founded in 1997, and have developed titles like Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 for the PSP, Tony Hawk’s Project 8, and as mentioned, the latest Spider-man game. The studio was acquired by Activision in 2002, and has now ceased to exist, as all employees have been laid off. Recently, Activision cut back on the workforce of another studio under their ownership, eliminating 30 positions at 7 Studios.
