During a recent conference all, EA CEO John Riccitiello expressed his frustration with games on the Wii selling not as well as they have, and not selling as well and they used to. He said,

“To be honest with you, I think the Wii platform has been a little weaker than we had certainly anticipated. And there is no lack of frustration to be doing that at precisely the time where we have the strongest third-party share.”

Riccitiello also added that Nintendo should support 3rd party developers more, and that EA has reached out to Nintendo to partner up and push third party titles even stronger.

The Tekken series has been in a long battle with Street Fighter and Virtua Fighter for many, many years, each time, each series tried to top the other, and now is no different with Tekken 6. The latest installment in the franchise, this time with a deep roster, new gameplay modes and tweaks, this is certainly the best Tekken game to date. But how does it stack up against the rivals? Read on.

The story of Tekken 6 is slim to non existent to laughable — but that’s expected, it’s not a novel, it’s a fighting game, and the story that’s there basically moves your from fight to fight. Nothing special, and it gets the job done. The single player campaign lets you battle all of the available enemies, which means you’ll be fighting a lot of them — the roster is one of the largest in any Tekken game, with all the classic fighters back, including Lei, Paul, Jin and Kazuya. It also includes characters included in Tekken Dark Resurrection, further increasing the roster to a total of 40. However, not many new members have been introduced, not that it makes any difference, since the roster already feels crowded and it’s gonna take you a long time to identify with all of the characters. Modern Warfare 2 isn’t supposed to launch until 12am tonight, as you most likely already know, but it seems that some GameStops in the North East have broken the street date.

Kotaku says that one such retailer was quoted to have said that they were given permission by Activision to start handing out the title a day early to which they quickly responded:

“Activision has not given any retailer permission to sell Modern Warfare 2 prior to the Nov. 10 street date. The company fully supports the Nov.10 street date.”

On the other hand, if you did get your hands on the game early you don’t have to worry about getting the banhammer as Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling pushed out the following tweet:

“ANY store selling #MW2 early is in violation of street date. There are no “special permissions”. That said, we won’t punish players for it.”
