According to EA boss John Riccitiello, who spoke at UBS 37th Annual Global Media Conference in New York City earlier today, let it slip that Sony’s new motion controller would be named “Gem”. He said,

“In the coming year, both Sony and Microsoft have announced new controllers. Motion sensor controls, Natal and Gem, these are likely to bring new consumers into the marketplace”

Sony has yet to confirm of deny it, but it seems that if anyone would know what the new controller would be named, other than Sony, it would be a guy like John Riccitiello.
