Tony Hawk Ride sales disappoint

On December 11th, 2009 in Uncategorized -

Tony Hawk Ride, the skateboarding game posed as a resurrection of the series, complete with an actual skateboard peripheral, has seen somewhat disappointing sales since it was released on November 17. The game has sold just under 116,000 units, 67,000 on the Wii, 30,000 on the Xbox 360 and 16,000 on the PS3, according to NPD. The price of the game — $120 — also has a great impact on sales, naturally.

The biggest reason for this seems the board which comes with the game, which isn’t accurate nor responsive enough for a game like skating, which requires lots of accuracy and responsiveness. Our own review confirms this, which will be published later today.
