Nintendo working with Intel on Wii 2 chip?

It’s been a few years since the introduction of this year’s generation of consoles, which means it’s about time the rumors start flowing about the hardware in the next gen consoles. We already know that the PS4 won’t feature Intel’s Larabee, as we reported yesterday, and now new rumors suggest that Intel and Nintendo are working on a CPU/GPU hybrid that’s a bit like Larabee, but not quite.
It also seems that Nintendo once again won’t fight the “most powerful console” battle that Microsoft and Sony fought this generation, and Wii 2 might just end up as the least powerful console again — but nevertheless, a lot more powerful than the current Wii.
