The above is a trailer for the new Wii game “Wiiwaa”. We don’t know whether to feel joy or repulse. One thing is for sure, it’s a new take on gaming. Oh, and the soundtrack rocks.

It seems that Sony and Slant Six are once again delaying the PSP title SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 from January 12th to a release date that will be announced “in the coming weeks”.

Why exactly are they delaying the game again? We haven’t a clue but we will probably find out when they announce the release date within the next month.

Moddb.com, arguably the go-to site when it comes to PC mods of games, has opened voting for their 2009 Mod of The Year awards — the 8th annual event. The votes will be open until February 20, 2010, so there’s plenty of time to cast your vote.

As usual, most of the mods are made from Half Life 2, which has been the case for the past few years, as Valve has always been very supportive of the modding community.

Nintendo’s WiiWare catalog, where players can download games to their Wii, anything from NES to Super NES to N64 (and other consoles), has reached 500 titles. The 500th game was none other than Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. for the N64, the first in the series, which is available now and retails for $10.

Good FPs games are far and between — for every Modern Warfare 2, there’s a dozen lower profile games, most of which are released rather silently with no marketing efforts. One of those games is Rogue Warrior, and if you haven’t heard about it, there’s probably a good reason. Which is: Rogue Warrior is pretty much the opposite of Modern Warfare 2 in every single aspect. Yet, you’re actually expected to pay the same price for both games.

In Rogue Warrior, you play as Dick “Demo Dick” Marcinko, apparently based on a real life Navy SEAL who was pretty bad ass, but who’s nothing but a joke in the game. In the game, he’s voiced by none other than Mickey Rourke, and you’ll be guiding your character through a series of missions, which add up to less than 2 hours of gameplay. For $60? Rip off? You bet. While the recent releases of Serious Sam HD brought back old memories of classic shooters, Destructoid asked CroTeam about the third game in the series, and lucily, they got a decent answer from CroTeam’s Roman Ribaric, who said;

“Serious Sam 3 is happening for sure, it is currently planned to be finished in 2010.”

The game was revealed to be in development a while ago, but a released date was never put on the title. Now, at least we have an estimate: 2010.

The previously announced God of War collection, which includes HD versions of the previous two God of War games, has already been released in the US for PS3 owners, and now it appears that Europeans will get a chance to play the old games in HD as well. However, not as a standalone package, but rather, the Collection will only be available with a purchase of God of War 3 Ultimate Collection, when it’s released in 2010. Oh, and it’ll retail well above $100 in Euroland.

Ubisoft has trademarked what might become, or rather, what will become, the title for the next Ghost Recon game.

While it might indicate that Future Soldier will have a sci-fi futuristic setting, all Ghost Recon games have been set a few years into the future, and the upcoming Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 4 is set in 2014 — and might just be renamed to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
