Epic hacker and modder Ben Heck, who’s done his share of mods and hacks over the years, is introducing the PS3 Slim laptop, a fully functioning PS3 slim console, with an HD screen, in a portable form factor (sort of). It’s now on eBay and the current bid is $2500.

There’s a ton of weapons in Left 4 Dead 2, and when faced with the mightiest enemy of them all, The Tank, some weapons are better than others. The cheat sheet above lets you in on the best ones. For instance, did you know that the frying pan kills the Tank three times faster than a shotgun?

If you weren’t aware, Square Enix has been handing out codes for a free Chocobo Avatar pet for use with Xbox Live. While the requirements for getting the code weren’t exact, you basically just had to promote FFXIII online. Well, the promotion is over and Square Enix will no longer be handing out the codes but that doesn’t mean you completely lost your chance to get one.

As of writing this, there are 33 Chocobo Avatar pet codes listed on eBay ranging from $1.50 all the way up to $50. Wait, is someone out there really willing to pay $50 for an Avatar pet?

Now here is something that is sure to piss the movie studios off — It seems that by accident Sony added the movie Armored to the Playstation Store for use with the Playstation 3 and PSP. This is fine except for the fact that Armored is still in theaters and not available anywhere else.

And, even worse, Sony didn’t even charge anything for it; they actually had an in-theaters movie available for download through the Playstation Store, for free.

If you’re a fan of the Final Fantasy series you have most likely heard of its creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, former Square exec. Well, after resigning from Square he went on to found Mistwalker, a game development studio that has put out titles such as Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

Well, it seems that Mistwalker will be diversifing their focus as according to an announcement on their website an iPhone title is in the works. What exactly will this title be? Perhaps a port of Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey? Let’s hope so.

UK retailer GAME lists Battlefield Bad Company 2 as having a demo released on January 28, which sounds a bit implausible if you ask us, as the demo would be available over a month before the game would ship in the beginning of March.

A better explanation is that the BC2 beta, which will be released on January 28, according to GameStop. The beta, this time on the PC, will run for approximately two weeks, giving ample time to DICE to fix the latest bugs and tighten the nuts and bolts. As for the demo, if there is one, expect it late-February.

A mere week after Final Fantasy XIII was declared the fastest selling game in Japan ever, selling 1.5 million units in its first week, the second week was a bit “down to earth”.

FF XIII sold only 200,000 copies in its second week, which no one really expected — at least not a drop of that magnitude. However, this is nothing new to Final Fantasy games, as precious editions have taken similar hits, after die hard fans line up to get the game, then the hype slowly decreases.

When you’re sniping, you’re prone to gazing through the scope for a long time, often oblivious to your surroundings. Just like in the video above.

While it wasn’t a massive hit by any means, nor one of the best music-based Hero games, it was apparently good enough for Activision to order a sequel for the game. The sequel, titled DJ Hero 2, was confirmed by French house DJ and music producer David Guetta, where he revealed that he was working on the sequel which will feature his music.

The Legend of Zelda not only has one of the largest fan bases, but also one of the oldest and most dedicated ones. A Zelda fan movie, a feature length production titled “The Hero of Time”, based on Ocarina of Time, was made over a period of a few years and was finally beginning to be showcased at festivals and online.

However, Nintendo shut down the movie, as it, obviously, infringed on their trademark and brand. If you’ve seen the film, you’d understand why they did, as the movie, quite frankly, sucks. We know it wasn’t a professional deal and all that, but if Zelda is portrayed that badly, it might throw off fans who would otherwise be interested in “the real Zelda movie”. If/when ever it comes out.

And what were they thinking just making a movie without securing the rights first?
