Sony has proudly announced that the PS3 has reached 3 million consoles sold in the United Kingdom. While that may seem like a lot, consider that the Xbox 360 has reached 4 million and the Wii has sold a whopping 6 million units.

Via a press release, EA proclaimed that The Sims 3 was the best selling PC game in the world in 2009. However, while it’s not hard to understand The Sims 3 being a massive seller, EA didn’t provide any sales numbers, and there’s no official word from any third part sales tracker either. But considering that The Sims 3 sold an estimated 1.4 million units during its first week, and considering how slow PC game sales have been in 2009, they may very well be right in proclaiming the game as the best selling title in 2009.

Tiger Woods has been through lots of controversy over the past few months, and he’s lost a lot of sponsorship deals as a result of it. EA however, is sticking with the golfer, and have announced Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, which will be released in June 2010.

Now before you get too excited about Capcom releasing an Xbox 360 exclusive, make note that there has been no official word regarding what this means which means it could mean pretty much anything. Anyways, the above image has appeared on the Japanese Xbox website that reads Capcom x Microsoft.

With an educated guess, one would assume that Capcom and Microsoft are collaborating to create an Xbox 360 exclusive (as stated in the corner). Like mentioned previously, there is no telling if this is a Japanese only announcement or what but we’ll keep you posted.

Tony Hawk: Ride seemed like an awesome idea, control an onscreen skater with a skateboard deck. Unfortunately the idea of the game is about where the awesomeness ends as it really failed to deliver. The skateboard deck was unresponsive to the point where the game was damn near unplayable and it wasn’t exactly eye candy.

However, the game’s not-so-successful launch hasn’t put a damper on Tony Hawk’s drive as he’s already talking with Robomodo about the next game. Below is a tweet from Tony Hawk that let us in on the information:

“Just met with @robomodo about our next project and it’s already much better than I expected”

If you’ve been paying attention, Tony Hawk was pretty optimistic about the first game as well. Let’s hope Mr. Hawk and Robomodo give us something we can actually play this time around.

Yesterday we let you know the future of Heavy Rain in terms of DLC as detailed by one of the game’s developers. However, until we actually get our hands on it we can’t possibly know if we’ll even want the DLC.

Luckily, Sony has just let us know that a demo for the game will be hitting the European Playstation Store on February 11th. Now, North American gamers need not get too upset as our sources tell us that Sony is likely to release a demo for our Playstation Store on the same day.

However, if the demo doesn’t drop on North American shores you can always wait until the game gets released on February 23rd.

Wait, another dual-stick Xbox Live Arcade shooter for the Xbox 360? Say it ain’t so! Well, it is so. Death By Cube is just another dual stick shooter that’s been released on Xbox Live Arcade, and in fact, it one of the worst ones that’s been released on the platform.

And just like last Xbox Live Arcade game that we reviewed, and that pretty much sucked, Death By Cube is published by Square Enix, and a pattern is emerging, a pattern suggesting that there isn’t much quality control as with the publisher’s bigger titles. Anyways, Death By Cube will take you a while to figure out. The first time you play it, it’s chaos, the fifth time, still chaos, and an hour into the game, it’s still chaos, but you have a hint of what’s going on.

So after playing it for a few hours, we’ll try and explain it as good as we can: it’s a dual stick shooter — use the left stick to move, the right to shoot — and that’s all you do, you basically wait for an onslaught of enemies to shoot within a given time frame, if they overwhelm you, you die. Oh, and the enemies are cubes. Oh, and there’s a lot of blood when you shoot time. Honestly, the whole thing is just confusing, so watch this YouTube video of the gameplay in action. Watched it? Okay, back to the review. Read the rest of the reivew
