Sony is looking to do something with God of War III that they haven’t with the previous titles: first person kills. In the latest episode of GameTrailers TV, Adam Puhl went on record as saying that you’ll be put, literally, right in the middle of the action when some of the most gruesome kills go down.

Just imagine, ripping someones head off in first person. Sounds great, right?

Check out the 21-minute episode, here.

If you still haven’t gotten a chance to get your hands the 2007 title Warhawk, now is your perfect opportunity. Sony has just announced that they are dropping the price of the title on the PSN to just $14.99. Additionally, they will be dropping the price of each of the 3 expansions to $4.99 or you can get them in a pack for $9.99.

Considering the PS3 is Sony’s third attempt at a console it would only make sense that at some point in the future they would come out with a PS4. In the past, Sony has said that the PS3 will have a 10 year life span which means it will still be around well into 2015. However, the PS3 is quite an amazing machine itself, so what could they do with the PS4?

Sony’s Jack Tretton doesn’t seem to know either, recently stating that he “can’t even imagine what can be done technically beyond the PS3 in the near future”.

Well, Mr. Tretton, I’m sure you guys will figure it out before it’s time to say goodbye to the PS3.

About 10 days ago we let you know that Codemasters was planning to unveil their currently unannounced FPS title sometime next month. There has been much speculation over what this title will be but some new evidence has been brought to the table. It seems that Codemasters has recently filed a trademark for the title Bodycount.

Does this mean that their new game will be called Bodycount? It could be, but it could also be a move by Codemasters to throw off the press. If, however, it is called Bodycount one could assume that they will be killing large amounts of enemies.

It seems that the StarCraft 2 beta is panning out quite well because the game is still slated for release in the first half of this year. News comes from the latest BlizzCast podcast where Blizzard stated that the beat will last between 3-5 months with the game’s release still being targeted for the first half of this year.

After the beta, which should end by June, there’s no telling exactly when Blizzard will release the game. They will undoubtedly have some bugs and what not to sort out and then press the game and ship it to retail. Let’s hope it’s not long after the beta ends.

justcause2

Starting on March 4th players will be able to access the Just Cause 2 demo through the Playstation Network, Steam and Xbox Live. This demo includes a full 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert for players to explore.

Jam packed into these 35 quare miles are towns, mountains, military outposts and, of course, missions. Players will be able to embark on these missions using various weapons and vehicles situated around the map. What’s most exciting is the inclusion of a full multi-stage mission that has gamers infilitrating a base and undertaking a car chase in the desert. Sounds pretty damn cool.

The real game will be out on March 23rd.
