While the sci-fi multiplayer shooter Section 8 has somewhat impressed PC and Xbox 360 audiences, the PS3 crowd was left out of the fun, and they were promised the game this Spring.

However, it now appears that the game will be released as a download only title on PSN and won’t come in a retail box package.

On a better note, the PS3 game will include three maps which were originally sold as DLC on the other platforms.

The game will be released on the PS3 next month.

With the immense success of the original Nintendo DS, it’s no secret that Nintendo has a DS 2, of sorts, cookin’ up over in their labs. However, with no concrete evidence regarding the device its existence remains speculation.

Today, in a statement to CVG, a developer apparantly working with the console said the following:

“It’s genuinely the best thing I think I’ve ever worked with, I can tell you that it’s got a ’tilt’ function that’s not dissimilar to iPhone, but does a lot more. We know that The Pokemon Company are getting special attention with it.”

So, if developers already have this new motion sensing DS2, it can’t be long until the consumers can get their hands on it, right?

blazbluefish

Have you played and Guilty Gear or BlazBlue games? If so, you’ll undoubetly know that Arc System Works is the mastermind studio behind these popular franchises. And, while their latest title BlazBlue has spanned the likes of the PS3 and Xbox 360, the Wii has effectively been left in the dust.

Well, luckily, the studio has come forth to announce that they will be release a Wii title after all. However, it’ll be quite different from their other console offerings. In fact, this will be a bass fishing game. Yup, you read that right, a bass fishing game.

God knows why they wouldn’t just attempt a Wii port of BlazBlue but there must be a fishing gamer demographic for them to do something seemingly so ridiculous.

operationflashpoint

If you’re a fan of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising you’ll be disappointed to hear that Codemasters has recently confirmed that they will no longer be releasing patches or DLC for the game. The reason for this being that the studio has now completed the Dragon Rising chapter and has moved onto bigger and better things.

Of course, this most likely means another game in the series but we will wait for official word before we pass judgement.
