EA has confirmed what we always expected: that those who originally purchased Bad Company 2, instead of getting it used, will be getting a free map pack on day one, which includes two new maps. EA has stated that an additional free map pack for the original purchasers of the game will be getting another free DLC map pack later in March, but if you bought the game used, you’ll have to pony up some cash to get it.

Apple’s OS X is a great operating system, I’m a user myself, but it hasn’t exactly been known as the best gaming platform under the sun. In fact, the most widely used digital distribution platform, Valve’s Steam, doesn’t even have a native client for OS X.

However, according to recent rumors that may all change very soon. News comes to us from the Steam Users Forum that shows some OS X Steam code along with some Apple-esque Steam icons.

Is this rumor to be believed? Well, Valve was previously looking for some Linux and OS X engineers so it would certainly make sense.

onliveprice

Have you ever wondered what goes into justifying a $60 price tag for most new games? Well, OnLive has taken the completely break down every dollar that goes into that price tag.

As you can see, most of the money is for the publisher and retailer while $7 is set aside for both platform royalties and game returns.

I just wonder how much money is allocated for the developer.

Considering the utter success of Forza Motorsport 3 it would’t be a smart move for the developers not to make Forza Motorsport 4. Well, rumors have reportedly surfaced that say both Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft have begun development of the game.

News come to us from Binge Gamer who recieved an email for an industry insider that says Microsoft has begun hiring for the newest installment to the Forza Motorsport series.

Considering this is just a rumor, putting any sort of release date on it would be impossible at this point.

Dragon Quest fans anxiously awaiting any news regarding a new  North American release will be ecstatic to hear that Nintendo is teaming up with Square Enix. They aren’t developing anything new but instead Nintendo will be the sole publisher of Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.

There’s no telling when the game will be released but if it’s anything like the others it is sure to sell like hot cakes.

If you’ve read pretty much any major publication over the past decade you’ll know that Walmart has been faced with some troubles. However, it remains one of the most successful businesses in the entire world. GameStop, which you’re probably a lot more familiar with, has grown to pretty much take over video game retail across the entire United States.

This is all relevant because it was just made known that GameStop’s CFO, Catherine Smith, has resigned from the retailer to join Walmart. CAO, Robert Lloyd will take Smith’s place, effective immediately.

There’s no telling why Smith ditched the video game retailer to join ultra retailer Walmart but I’m sure money had something to do with it.
