Those hoping that God of War III will see no delays before its March 16th release can now rest easy, some what. Thanks to Christer Ericson’s Twitter, who just so happens to be Director of Technology over at Sony Santa Monica, we now know that the game has gone gold and is entering the manufacturing stage.

Of course, some unforeseen error like the destruction of the manufacturing facility could give us a delay, but that’s doesn’t seem very likely.

The EA Store is running quite a sweet deal for those looking to acquire Bad Company 2: if you pre-order the game on the EA Store, you’ll get Battlefield 2142 for free. While 2142 wasn’t the best Battlefield game, it still offered lots of fun and the good ol’ BF formula.

According to The Wrap, the next Mortal Kombat movie (not that we need another one, considering the utter crap the others were), has been put on hold because Threshold Entertainment has sued Warner Bros, claiming they had a licensing agreement with Midway before the very same Midway was acquired by Warner Bros. We hope it becomes a long, long legal battle, as we’d really not wanna see another horrible Mortal Kombat adaptation.

LucasArts’ latest Star Wars game, Force Unleashed, has surpassed the 7 million sales mark, firmly solidifying that most people will buy anything with a “Star Wars” sticker on. Just kidding, Force Unleashed is quite a capable game and one of the better from LucasArts over the past few years. LucasArts have also released a new DLC, Hoth Mission Pack, which is available on Xbox 360 and PS3 and retails for $10.

While we’re eagerly waiting for the third Borderlands DLC, developer Gearbox has proudly announced that the game has past a milestone by selling 3 million copies since its release back in October 2009. This is impressive especially considering that it’s a brand new IP that was up against heavy weights such as Modern Warfare 2 and Assassin’s Creed 2 — not to mention the countless yearly installments of games.

Can you speak Japanese? If not, it doesn’t matter, you’ll still be able to see the awesomeness contained in the recently released trailer for Yakuza 4, included above. Said trailer does a great job showing you everything that you’ll be able to do in the game from smackin’ baddies with motorcycles to getting personal massages.

Unfortunately, Yakuza 4 won’t be out in the United States anytime soon. In fact, Yakuza 3 is just making its way onto our shores on March 9th, 2010. So, we probably won’t be seeing Yakuza 4 for at least a year, if not more considering it will be out in Japan on March 18th of this year.

If you one to still play Guitar Hero 5 obsessively, you probably already know that this weekend was supposed to see the release of some Black Sabbath songs. Well, if you were pumped for these songs you’re about to be let down as Activision has just updated the Guitar Hero Facebook page as saying that the DLC won’t be coming out this weekend.

They then went on to say that they hope to have the content available at a later date. Does this mean there is a chance we won’t be seeing these new Black Sabbath songs at all? Let’s hope not.

With game’s like Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress and the Left 4 Dead, Valve is no stranger to hit titles. What they are a stranger to, however is the PS3. While the games have gone on to sell like hot cakes, Valve has yet to give the PS3 any love. Why? Well, they have yet to establish a dedicated PS3 development team considering the games are harder to port than you would think. Sure, Orange Box was ported but it was laden with bugs and other things.

Luckily, Valve has said today that while there has been little PS3 development in the past, they are sure they will develop for the console in the future. But, before they do that they are going to have to make sure they can do it right because they don’t want an Orange Box repeat.
