It seems that Portal 2 isn’t the only Valve game coming to the Mac platform — If you remember, we told you not too long that rumors had begun making their rounds about a version of Steam for Mac’s OS X. Now, Valve has officially confirmed that not only will a Mac version of Steam will be hitting but also a Mac version of the Source engine. If you don’t know, the Source engine is Valve’s engine behind popular games such as Left 4 Dead 2, Half-Life 2 and more.

This means that Mac gamers will finally be able to play the above mentioned games in addition to Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike. Even better, Valve has made it so that when developers make a game for the PC, code will be automatically generated that will allow the same game to work for OS X.

Looks like the Mac will not be a gamers nightmare any more.
