episodesfromlibertycity

Rockstar has just announced that the Episodes from Liberty City GTA 4 expansions for the PS3 and PC have been delayed by 2 weeks. The reason being “a request by Sony Europe to make some minor changes to the PAL PS3 version of the game”.

Of course, Rockstar assures us that these minor content changes will not affect the content or the gamer in any major way.

Additionally, The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are being delayed to April 13th for the US and April 16th for the rest of the world. Luckily I have an Xbox 360 and have been able to get the DLC long ago.

mag

While most game developers have resorted to charging for their DLC, Zipper Interactive is doing it a bit different with MAG. And by different, I mean they’re offering the game’s first DLC pack for free. The pack will be entitled the “Trooper Gear Pack” and will include thigns such as the flashbang grenade and the following weapons:

  • Raven’s APEX 100SE
  • SVER’s RTK-74 Vla
  • Valor’s MK 46 Mod 1

Additionally, you’ll be getting 2 new uniforms called “Trooper Dark” and “Trooper Light”.

What’s even better is Zipper Interactive is giving a Double XP weekend from March 25th – Marth 28th to commemorate the launch of the DLC pack.

Read more about it here.

threadlesssale

Do you love games? Do you love clothing? If so, you may have happened accross Threadless, a website that users can submit designs to and, if popular enough, get them printed. Well, today the company is celebrating their 10th year anniversary that have all of their shirts for just 10 bucks and hoodies for just 30.

After reading this story I headed over to their website and checked out some of the designs and I have to say, I’m definitely buying some.

Check out Threadless, here.

externalharddrive

Currently, if you want to hook your external hard drive up to your Xbox 360 you have to pass through some loop holes and do some hackery, but that’s no fun. Luckily, Joystiq has just gotten some documents that say USB Mass Storage Device Support on Xbox 360 is coming in a 2010 Xbox 360 system update.

There’s no telling exactly when the update will drop, presumably this Spring, but when it does drop gamers will be able to put things like Xbox Live Arcade games, Games on Demand games and DLC in general on external hard drives.

What I want to know, however, is if I could hook up external hard drive up and watch some TV shows. That would open up a whole new market for Microsoft and the Xbox 360.

Tradegy has struck Aliens vs Predator‘s developer Rebellion – they’ve been forced to close their Derby office. And, despite decently high game sales, they’ve also been forced to get rid of some of the employees at their headquarters in the UK.

There’s no reason why exactly this has happened or how many employees were left off but Rebellion’s comment includes “a few staff in junior positions had been let go.”

Here’s hoping to a happy future for all of those who had to be let go.

Are you planning on picking up EA’s forthcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old RepublicEA sure hopes so. Analayst Bhatia recently stopped by the EA studios to check up on the game and has reported that the developers are expectign over 2 million subscribers when the game goes on sale.

This seems a bit high but Bhatia has also said that just to break even, EA is going to need over 1 million subscribers.

I don’t know about you guys but since I finally managed to ween myself off World of Warcraft, I’m not really ready to dive into another MMO anytime soon.

According to recent rumors, mega game retailer GameStop, by far the largest in the world, might be bought up by an unnamed private equity firm for just under $5 billion, which is 33 percent more than GameStop’s current market value at $3.3 billion. The private equity firm will reportedly turn GameStop back into a private company instead of a public one. GameStop responded to the rumor saying “We do not comment on speculation or rumor”, which pretty much says it all.

Rockstar’s upcoming and Western shooter Red Dead Redemption is looking to be one of the big surprises of 2010, as the game seemingly has a vast, explorable area, great combat, and generally what appears to be GTA in the Wold West. We can’t wait to give it a try.

EA and DICE have revealed that Bad Company 2 is on track to becoming the top selling game in March, having already sold an impressive 2.3 million units across all platforms. Sales are expected to reach 3 million by the end of March, and we suspect the game will keep selling well into the Summer.
