Usually high profile games don’t carry a demo — this is trued for Assassin’s Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2 and many others — but Ubisoft is going the traditional way with Splinter Cell Conviction. They’ve confirmed that a demo of the game will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but they haven’t revealed when exactly. The game ships on April 13.

With the massive success of The Beatles: Rock Band it’s no surprise that Harmonix is expanding with other popular bands. The latest of such bands is the Grammy Award Winning Green Day with Rock Band: Green Day. Just like The Beatles version, Rock Band: Green Day will feature likeliness of the band and a bunch of iconic Green Day locations and will drop on June 8th for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii for $59.99, $59.99 and $49.99, respectively.

granturismo5

Gran Tursimo 5 has been in development over at Polyphony Digital for god knows how long now. Luckily, Sony took a minute away from talking about Playstation Move to let us know that Gran Turismo 5 will in fact be hitting store shelves at some point this year. Of course, they failed to give us a solid release date so there is a chance the game could be pushed back for a millionth time.

If you’ve been anxiously awaiting any information regarding Prison Break, you’ll be happy to hear that developers of the video game adaptation Zootfly/Deep Silver have announced that the game will be out on on March 30th for $49.99 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 and $39.99 on the PC.

In the game, players will take the role of Tom Paxton, a Company employee who is sent to Fox River to follow Michael Scofield’s every move. I don’t watch the show so I don’t really know what that means but if you do I’m sure you get it.

Remember folks, March 30th, Prison Break the video game.

haloreach

Bungie released the Halo: Reach multiplayer gameplay trailer that shows us what looks like a very polished game. However, it seems that the developers have left something out of the trailer that is going to make its way into the beta.

In a statement to CVG Microsoft’s Stephen McGill said the following:

“As you can imagine, we’re really excited about Halo Reach and with the beta coming in May you’ll get a chance to experience some of the new features and gameplay never seen before. Obviously I don’t want to give too much away but it really is shaping up to be the ultimate game of the year.”

Features and gameplay never seen before, eh? Let’s hope it’s something coo because the Reach hype train is in full swing.

craftingmama

Way back in March of last year we let you know that the creators of Cooking Mama had filed a trademark for Crafting Mama. However, absolutely no details regarding the game (other than what we could assume) had been released. Now, Majesco has come forth and officially announced the game that will have players making candles, kaleidoscopes, quilts, birdhouses and dolls. But wait, why would you play a game about doing that when you can just do it yourself?

Who knows, but the game will be out in fall of this year.

fable3logo

The Fable franchise has grown pretty good since the original title hit store shelves. Peter Molyneux let us know that the original title sold around 3 million copies while Fable 2 sold around 3.5 million. However, in order to secure the franchise’s longevity, Fable 3 is going to have to sell a lot more.

In order to reach the coveted 5 million copies sold that Lionhead is going for, the studio is going to market the game as an action-adventure instead of an RPG as that genre consistently sells better.

sfiphonecase

iPhone cases range from ridiculously ugly to ridiculously awesome. This case, given out by Capcom at this year’s GDC, falls into the ridiculously awesome category. As you can see it features the iconic Street Fighter phrase “Waiting for a New Challenger” and is most likely to market their brand new Street Fighter IV iPhone game.

Unfortunately, Capcom has no plans to ever sell this case. Major bummer. To eBay!

playstationmove

Well, that’s it, Shuhei Yoshida, president of SCE Worldwide Studios has taken center stage at this year’s GDC to let us know that the Playstation Motion Controller will officially be called Playstation Move. This goes against previous rumors that the controller would be called Arc or even just the Playstation Motion Controller.

Anyways, Sony is expected to release more news regarding the games and what not that will use Move. We’ll keep you posted.
