Borderlands already has The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot and The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC packs but already 2K’s CEO, Ben Feder, is talking about future expansions. In fact, Feder said that Gearbox “will continue to support the title with add-on content”.
That’s the extent of the details we have regarding the new DLC but GDC will most likely bring more info.
Late last month we let you know that a Mac OS X version of Steam was most likely on its way thanks to some leaked imagery. Now, Valve has released a whole slew of Apple-related advertisements all but confirming that the digital distribution platform is in fact making its way to the Mac.
Make note, next week is GDC so chances are we’ll hear an announcement from Valve about Steam for OS X then.
While BioShock 2 hasn’t received the same critical acclaim that the first title did, it has still received some pretty damn good reviews. And reviewers apparently aren’t the only ones who like the game as it was just announced that BioShock 2 has sold 3 million copies across the Xbox 360 PC and PS3.
That’s not all though, Take-Two also took the time to let us know that Grand Theft Auto IV has sold 15 million copies worldwide since its release.
Some pretty big numbers here now I just wonder how much their sequels will sell.
We already knew that Diablo III was on its way but what we didn’t know is that Blizzard is actually working on sequels, not just one. Word comes from Activision SEC filings that lets us know of the sequels but what could it possible mean?
While there is a chance that Blizzard is working on Diablo IV, chances are that it’s hinting towards the Diablo III expansions that are sure to follow. Then again, there is a chance that this is at typo and we’re getting worked up over nothing. You never know.
And, knowing Blizzard, if Diablo IV is in the pipeline, we wont’ hear about it for years.
If you’ll recall, Six Days in Fallujah was scheduled to be published by Konami after Atomic Games had finished it. However, after public outcry Konami was forced to pull out of the project leaving Six Days in Fallujah with no publisher and an uncertain future. Luckily, Atomic Games has just announced today that the game is finished and “is still coming out”.
How exactly it’s coming out, we have no idea, but let’s hope a publisher signs on soon.
Hot on the heels of the Halo 3 MLG FFA playlist is the announcement of the MLG 2010 Pro Circuit. This includes the announcement of both the 2 first events and the different titles that will be featured at said events.
The first 2 events of the 2010 MLG Pro Circuit will take place in Orlando, Florida and Columbus, Ohio. The titles featured at said events will be Halo 3, Super Smash Bros: Brawl, Tekken 6, Modern Warfare 2 and some unannounced PC games. Most likely World of Warcraft and something else.
You can read more about the 2010 MLG Pro Circuit, here.
We’ve seen footage of Halo: Reach in the past but those were only ViDoc’s and didn’t feature any multiplayer gameplay. Today, Bungie has released the first multiplayer trailer for the game and I have to say, it looks damn cool.
Some notable features are the ability to sprint and roll, jetpacks and new guns. The trailer also lets us know that the multiplayer beta will be out on May 3rd of this year.
The actual game, however, isn’t set to drop until Fall of this year.
When Halo 3 first came out, you were pretty much forced to play customs if you wanted an MLG experience. Now, there is an MLG matchmaking playlist which answered the cries of much of the gaming community. A brand new trailer for Team Ninja’s Metroid: Other M has hit the web today for all to see. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for gameplay you’re going to be disappointed because all that’s featured in it is cinematic cutscences. Hell, you don’t even get to see Samus in her suit. Oh well, it’s cool to watch anyways, I guess.
Metroid: Other M will be out exclusively for the Wii on June 27th of this year. Let’s hope we see some gameplay footage soon.
Not too long ago we told you that Nintendo would be responsible for bringing Dragon Quest IX to the states with a release date expected this year. However, before that, Dragon Quest VI will be making its way onto store shelves for the Nintendo DS.
Previously, we hadn’t heard of a release date for the game, and we still haven’t, but Amazon has just put Dragon Quest VI up for pre-order starting at $34.99. Of course we can’t pinpoint an exact release date but since its up for pre-order I think it’s safe to assume that it will be coming relatively soon.
