Ben Heck comes up with all sorts of crazy stuff including portable consoles and Xbox 360 laptops. However, today he has revealed that work has just been completed on a brand new PS3 Slim laptop, pictured above.
While we’ve seen a PS3 laptop in the past, this one is a bit unique. New features include a 17-inch HD monitor with the ability to disconnect it and plug in an external display, built-in speakers and a headphone jack, new paint job and more breathing room than you can shake a stick at.
While The Sims 3 has been out for the PC since June 2nd of last year, it has yet to make its jump to the consoles. Well, it’s just been announcd that the game will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and even the Nintendo DS.
The game will play generally the same as the PC version but with a few added bonuses throughout the various consoles. We’ll keep you updated as more information is made known.
According to Microsoft’s official Xbox website, Xbox Live may be seeing some techincal difficulutes. No, you won’t be shut out of the service completely but if you’re looking to download items you have already purchased or download original Xbox titles through Games on Demand, you may be seeing some problems.
Luckily, Microsoft is aware of the problem and is working hard to fix it. We’ll keep you updated.
Yesterday we told you that a live-action Halo: Reach short would be aired today and that is has. Even better, we have it for your viewing pleasure, above.

If you even remotely follow the competitive Street Fighter scene you undoubtedly know Daigo, the 28 year old guy who is regarded by many as the best Street Fighter player in the world. Well, it seems that he will be teaming up with Mad Catz to promote their critically acclaimed FightStick controllers.
Daigo will be using the controllers at every tournament he attends in addition to urging attendees to check the sticks out.
Now, I have tos ay I’ve had some problems with Mad Catz peripherals in the past but they have really turned themsevles around and these night FightSticks really lets that shine through.
It seems that the Infinity Ward vs Activision fued will never end — The latest story says that ex-Infinity Ward employees are suing the massive publisher for half a billion dollars. Why, you ask?
- Unpaid bonuses from 2009 and 2010 sales generated by Modern Warfare 2 — fourth quarter 2009 and first quarter 2010, specifically.
- Bonuses “due and owing to them” past first quarter 2010.
- “Bonus/royalty/profit participation” related to “technology/engine” royalties, “other special performance bonuses,” “other studio bonuses” or “any other bonus/royalty/profit participation.”‘
- Lost value on “restricted stock units” that Activision “promised” would vest (read: own it in your own name and purchase it from Activision) when Modern Warfare 2 sales eclipsed Modern Warfare 1, which “has long ago occurred.”
- Money owed as it relates to Modern Warfare 2 “sister games, including but not limited to” the oft-mentioned Modern Warfare 3, “if Modern Warfare 3 is ultimately delivered and marketed.”
- Interest rates related to the above sums of money.

Ever since the Wii was called the Nintendo Revolution we’ve known that Nintendo has been cookin’ up some colored consoles but have yet to see any in the United States. Luckily, CVG recently got in touch with various US retailers that have said a black Wii console will arrive in the United States next month.
News comes from Frys who tells our source that the console will arrive at the $199 price point complete with black Wiimote, Nunchuck, MotionPlus in addition to Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.
Anyone holding out until one of these hits stores?
Do you still play DJ Hero? Okay, good — Activision just announced that they will be releasing The Domination Mix Pack tomorrow, April 29th for 640 Microsoft Points or $7.99 on the PSN. Of course, if you have a Wii you can pick up the individual tracks for 300 points a pop but what fun is that?
