capcomlogo

While the highly anticipated Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was only recently announced, its been kept under wraps pretty good since its development. The reason I say this is because Capcom has been working on the game for almost 2 years now, actually starting production during the summer of 2008.

We know this because the creators of the game were recently asked if the reason they are releasing it was due to Marvel vs. Capcom 2‘s success as a downloadable title. To make a long story short they responded no, we started it long before that.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be released sometime in Spring of next year.

madcatzlogo

I don’t know about you guys but in the past (N64 era) I’ve had some problems with Mad Catz prodcuts. However, with their release of the various FightSticks and other officially licensed peripherals, the company is really stepping their game up. They are stepping their game up so much, in fact, that it was just announced that they will be in charge of all official Rock Band peripherals from here on out.

This means that Mad Catz produced products will appear in the official Rock Band bundles as they are now the ‘principal peripherals partner’ for the franchise. Try saying that 10 times fast.

Check out the official press release here.

MADDEN11

It seems like Madden 10 was only just released but already EA Sports is gearing up to launch the official demo for Madden 11. Sure, it won’t be dropping until late July but we have some details regarding the demo’s contents.

First of all, we know that it will be the Jets vs. the Colts and it will recreate either the Super Bowl, AFC Championship or NFC Championship. EA Sports is actually letting gamers vote which game will be played in the demo.

So folks, Madden 11 demo in late July. Don’t forget.

xbox360bundles

The Splinter Cell: Conviction and Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Elite bundles are pretty highly sought after considering they feature a 250GB hard drive and all the other bells and whistles of an Elite SKU. However, their price tag, $499.99, may keep the consoles out of the hands of some, if not most, gamers.

Luckily, Amazon.com is holding a deal that will drop $40 off that asking price, bringing the final price down to $359.99

Check the FFXIII Bundle here and the Splinter Cell Bundle, here.

xbox360arcade

Dell is continuing their video game deals this time offering an Xbox 360 Arcade version for $159. That’s $40 off the normal price which is certainly a deal to me, if you’ll settle with the Xbox 360 Arcade Version.

If, however, you want to up the ante a bit, Dell is holding deals for higher end consoles as well, listed below:

  • Xbox 360 Elite w/ Halo 3 ODST and Forza III – $269
  • Xbox 360 Elite holiday bundle – $259
  • Xbox 360 HDMI cable – $19.99 (nice!)
  • Street Fighter IV FightStick for Xbox 360 – $34.99
  • $10 off Super Street Fighter IV with Dell pre-order – $29.99

To snag these deals and more head over to Dell.

arkhamasylum

If you were a fan of the first Batman: Arkham Asylum, you’ll be happy to hear that a sequel to the game is currently in the works. What you won’t be happy to hear, however, is what an industry insider has just told CVG.

Apparently, Warner (the guys behind the game) are pushing Arkham Asylum 2′s release date into 2011. The reason for this is apparantly that Warner wants to avoid some heavy hitting titles currently slated for a pre-holiday release.

A bit scared of Halo: Reach, Warner?

tonyhawkshred

A few days ago we let you know that Tony Hawk himself took to Twitter and revealed the name for his latest title: Tony Hawk: Shred. Well, just in case you doubted Mr. Hawk, Activision has come in to clear things up.

“We can confirm we’ve given a name to the next Tony Hawk game - Tony Hawk: SHRED, and more details will be revealed in the coming months.”

So, will it use the skateboard peripheral from Tony Hawk: Ride? Probably, but let’s hope not.

heavygunner3d

If you’re looking for some new iPhone games but can’t justify any purchases you should check out Heavy Gunner 3D. This app will be free for today only thanks to OneAppaDay’s ongoing efforts.

I just got a chance to check out the game and I have to say, it’s definitely worth it. Not to mention the fact that it’s free. But I mean honestly, what’s more fun than shooting down a ridiculous amount of onscreen baddies with over 130 weapon combinations? Nothing, that’s what.

Go download it, now. Extra points if you check it out on the iPad and tell us about your experience.

legendaryedition

Considering all of the hype surrounding Bungie‘s latest title, Halo: Reach, a Collector’s Edition of sorts was going to be announed sooner or later. And now it has; the Special Edition and Legendary Edition.

The Special Edition, priced at $79.99 will come packaged in an ONI Black Box and include special Elite armor and an ‘artifact bag’ which contains reportedly contains some special Halo documents. The Legendary Edition, on the other hand, will run you $150 and include a McFarlane Toys manufactured statue of Noble Team, UNSC packaging, everything from the Special Edition and a flaming helmet for your Spartan Armor.

I don’t know about you guys, but that flaming helmet has my name on it. But $150? I don’t think so.
