Sony offers extended service plan for PS3/PSP

While many game stores (read: all game stores) will try and sell you extended warranty plans and what not, the manufacturers are less likely to do so. Except now, Sony is offering PS3 and PSP owners an “extended service” plan for their consoles. One year of extra protection for the PS3 costs $50, with another year for $10 more. For the PSP, it’s $30 a year, while an additional $10 will add “Accidental Damage” coverage, which covers accidents even if you caused them, like dropping your PSP etc.
