According to rumors, Microsoft’s J Allard, the guy who ran — and pretty much the father of — the Xbox, is said to be leaving the company because Microsoft refused to further develop Allard’s next project: the Courier tablet. Allard has been heading the Xbox and Zune divisions for years, and has been on leave from the company for months.

Dead Space’s main character, Isaac Clare — in case you didn’t know, a name combined from Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke — is be playable as a character in EA’s Skate 3, and as you can see above, poor Isaac sure look out of place with his skateboard. All you have to do is to enter this code: “deadspacetoo” into the Cheats area.

The PC demo for the upcoming racer Split Second has been released and is now available on major download networks. The demo includes a tutorial and one race at the Airport Terminal track. The demo was released on Xbox Live over a month ago, so it’s good to see it released on the PC, finally.

Well, it’s finally been confirmed: Fable 3 is coming to the PC as well, in addition to the Xbox 360 release. Lionhead also unveiled the Collector’s Edition of the game, which will retail for $80 and includes a GoldSeal coin (?) Fable 3 playing cars, and a bunch of new in-game content, such as a new quest.

Sega has announced that Sonic 4 has been delayed until late this year, instead of the original release date set for this summer. The delays is due to quality concerns, as Sega would like to give the developers more time to polish the title. Additionally, the company unveiled that Sonic 4 was also coming to the iPhone as well.

Valve has revealed that it’s puzzle game Portal has been downloaded an impressive 1.5 million times since it was released for free a week ago. If you haven’t downloaded the game, you should, and you should hurry, too, as it’s only free until May 24.

Walmart has opened Gamecenter, an online games store to compete with the likes of Amazon and GameStop. The store now offers a great deal if you’re willing to pre-order three games, they’ll throw in a $50 gift card. The list of games you can pre-order include Crackdown 2, Dead Rising 2, Medal of Honor, Fallout: New Vegas and Final Fantasy XIV.

The FEAR 3 trailer has finally been released, and it includes a mix of live-action footage and in-game footage, and honestly, it doesn’t look pretty good. The live-action is B-movie at best, while the in-game actually looks pretty decent.

THQ has joined EA in the fight on used game sales, and now it’s been confirmed that the upcoming UFC Undisputed will include a code on the back of the instruction manual, which will be needed in order to play online. Once the code has been punched in, only that Xbox Live account can be used to play online. So if you buy the game used, you’ll either have to do without the online features, or fork over $5 to THQ for a new code.
