Every Halo game has ad their own Xbox 360 bundle — heck, Halo 3 had three of them. So it comes as no surprise that Halo Reach will be getting new bundle, this time, for the first time, it’ll feature the Xbox 360 slim consoles, painted in nice silver grey. It sports the same 250 GB hard drive and will ship with two silver controllers and Halo Reach, of course.

EA’s Los Angeles team, the ones currently working on Medal of Honor, have formed a new studio called Danger Close. This isn’t exactly big news or a new change, it sounds just like a rebranding from EA Los Angeles to Danger Close.

2K Games has announced that the Mafia 2 demo will be released on August 10 for all platforms, which are the big three: Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. 2K hasn’t revealed what the demo will include, but expect the usual level or two.

According to NPD, the king of the sales trackers in the US, some 21.3 million full PC games were sold on digital distribution platforms like Steam, while 23.5 million PC games were sold at retail. Which means the two are almost head to head, and eventually, as everyone predicts, digital sales will surpass physical retail sales.

EA has opened a new development studio based in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. Basically called “EA Salt Lake”, the new studio will employ over 100 developers and will work on casual games for the EA Play label.

Company of Heroes Online, the MMO strategy game based on developer Relic’s excellent Company of Heroes RTS, will be getting a beta, as all MMOs eventually do (and should). All you need to do is to register for the beta, and hopefully, you’ll be selected.

While Xbox 360 owners can stream Netflix movies without having a disc, PS3 and Wii owners aren’t as fortunate. However, it’s not a technical thing — it’s merely Netflix’ agreement with Microsoft which prevents them from directly streaming on other consoles, but only for a while. After October, a disc will no longer be required.

EA has released the multiplayer beta of Medal of Honor on the Xbox 360, which is available for those who managed to get a code. There are high expectation for the multiplayer portion of the game, since it’s made by Battlefield-makers DICE.

Gearbox’ shooter Borderlands has received three pieces of DLC since it was released almost a year ago. Now the DLC, which usually retails at $10 a piece, has been discounted to half price on Xbox Live, in case you’re looking for some more cell-shaded action. The offer is only for next week.
