Microsoft reveals new Xbox 360 CPU/GPU

Microsoft beat both Intel and AMD to creating world’s first “fusion” chip, which combines the CPU and GPU + other stuff on the same piece of silicon chip. The chip, called “Vejle”, is built on 45nm an has the CPU, GPU, memory controller, 10 MB Ram, and I/O on the same die, which means only one cooler is required, and also, according to Microsoft, it consumes 60 percent less power while taking up half the space of the old chips.
