Halo Reach has a $200 million opening day
Bungie’s last Halo game, Halo Reach, has broken the record of single-day revenue by bringing in $200 million on launch day. The previous record was $170 million by Halo 3, when it launched back in 2007. Microsoft plans to beat the first week sales of $300 million, which was set by, again, Halo 3. Analysts expect sales of the game to reach 3.5 million this month, and 5 million by year’s end. For more on the game, check out our Halo Reach review.
