EA acquires Angry Birds developer

EA has acquired publisher Chillingo, who published the hugely popular iPhone and iPad title Angry Brids, which has sold a massive 6.5 million units since its release on iOS. However, EA’s acquisition does not include Angry Birds, as developer Rovio Mobile has announced that they’ll be teaming up with another publisher from now on. EA has reportedly dished out $20 million for Chilingo, but without Angry Birds, we think they might have overpaid for the publisher.
