Battlefield 3 on PC won’t be a console port

December 2nd, 2010
According to BF3Blog, DICE has announced that the PC version of Battlefield 3 won’t be a console port, but will include PC specific features, like Bad Company 2 for PC. Since Battlefield 2 was a PC exclusive and pretty much the best multiplayer FPS ever, we expect BF3 to top that, and not getting a lame console port like with Modern Warfare and Black Ops.

Granted, DICE did tweak the PC version of Bad Company 2, adding a server browser and some more options, but it did still have some of the console shortcomings, like limited Field of View. For BF3, we expect large, 64 player maps, more vehicles, better controls etc. In short, all the stuff that consoles can’t handle. Via BF3blog.com.
