Red Dead Redemption ships 8 million units

Take Two today announced a great 2010 fiscal year with revenues of $1.1 billion and a $42.6 million profit, compared to $140 million in losses last year. Not a bad turnaround.
The reason for the increased revenue? Red Read Redemption, which Take Two said has shipped 8 million units so far, and while sales most likely aren’t at 8 million, they’re bound to be very close. That translates to roughly 480 million in revenue from Red Dead Redemption, which is approaching Halo Reach and Call of Duty Black Ops levels. Not to mention all the DLC that has been sold so far.
