While the Xbox 360, Wii and Playstation 3 are currently the most talked about home video game consoles, another is coming that is sure to stir things up a bit. OnLive is a home console that does things less traditionally than other game consoles in the sense that no physical media is used. Instead, you hook the MicroConsole up to an ethernet port and are then given the option to stream a whole slew of games.

However, while you’re currently forced to pay for each game you stream, a new option has come from OnLive in the form of an all-you-can-eat $9.99 monthly subscription. Unfortunately, this isn’t going to give you access to the entire line up of OnLive games but instead a pre picked “PlayPack”.

To make things even better, if you’ve already got an OnLive MicroConsole, the service is completely free until it officially launches on January 23rd.

Will services like this prove a threat to the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii? Let’s wait and see.

Press release after the break.

According to BF3Blog, DICE has announced that the PC version of Battlefield 3 won’t be a console port, but will include PC specific features, like Bad Company 2 for PC. Since Battlefield 2 was a PC exclusive and pretty much the best multiplayer FPS ever, we expect BF3 to top that, and not getting a lame console port like with Modern Warfare and Black Ops.

Granted, DICE did tweak the PC version of Bad Company 2, adding a server browser and some more options, but it did still have some of the console shortcomings, like limited Field of View. For BF3, we expect large, 64 player maps, more vehicles, better controls etc. In short, all the stuff that consoles can’t handle. Via BF3blog.com.

Sega has unveiled a new, upcoming FPS called Binary Domain, with a new, pre-rendered trailer showing some action, cut scenes and cheesy dialogue. The game has no official release date, but is scheduled for a 2011 release on the PS3 and Xbox 360, most likely a Holiday 2011 release.

Expect more details on Binary Domain (like, what’s the game about?) early next year, and of course, E3 2011. Hopefully it amounts to more than anther B-game from Sega.

Our Gran Turismo 5 review has flared up a lot of GT5 and Sony fanboys, mostly for pointing out the obvious shortcomings of GT5, like most other reviews have pointed out. Here we present a video compared to Forza 3, showing just how retarded the single player AI in GT5 is. Watch for yourself.

If you’ve checked out just about any major media outlet you’ll without a doubt know the huge fiasco that led to Tiger Woods taking quite the break from professional golfing. While he was one the greatest golfer in the world, he has strayed from this title with a dismal performance since his return to the game. This lackluster play has led many to wonder if EA will drop Tiger Woods from their popular line up of golfing games and instead head alternate routes.

Well, while EA has long said that Tiger Woods is here to stay, some new reports have surfaced today that may say otherwise. Below EA CEO John Riccitiello comments:

“We have no plans to move away from [Tiger Woods], but it’s a business relationship on the basis of we make the best golf game and he’s the best golfer. Both of those things need to be true in the long run for the partnership to make sense.”

While this is true that it wouldn’t really make sense to put his name on a video game if he wasn’t the best, who else would they put? Sure, other golfers are winning tournaments but unless you follow golf, can you name another golfer? The only other golfer I can name is Arnold Palmer and that’s because his drink is godly.

On another note, the amount of pressure that is resting on Tiger Woods’ back must be tremendous. Then again, the dude’s rich as hell so does it really matter to him?

RPGs are one of the most popular video gaming genres with several titles franchises like Fable and Final Fantasy causing massive waves. However, seeing how they are arguably some of the most complex games on the market, there are bound to be some bugs in the final release. Lionhead Studios’ Fable III is a perfect example of this which has seen numerous bugs since its release.

Luckily, Lionhead has announced today via their website that a brand new patch out is out for the game that promises to fix a whole slew of different bugs both big and small. The patch is just 5MB so it shouldn’t deter your playing time too much but if you want to read about the bug fixes while you’re downloading that miniscule file, check them out after the break.

While Halo has long been regarded as one of the most popular Xbox 360 games in the book, it seems that Activision’s Call of Duty is taking that title on just about every gaming platform possible. Last year’s Modern Warfare 2 one of the biggest entertainment launches of all time and the more recent Call of Duty: Black Ops is no different.

In fact, it seems that Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Xbox 360 is so popular that it has now been deemed the most played game on Xbox Live. What’s also quite funny is the fact that Modern Warfare 2, another Call of Duty title, was the second most played game meaning Activision has now claimed the two top spots.

As you’re sure to know StarCraft is one of the biggest RTS franchises in video game history. In fact, if you head over seas to South Korea you will find top StarCraft players rich and famous. However, with such massive popularity comes gamers from all walks of life – some a bit less ethical than others. Luckily, Blizzard has been good at keeping their games cheater free.

Today they have announced that another round of bannings has gone out for StarCraft II that has an unannounced number of cheaters felling the burn. Blizzard elaborates on this announcment by saying:

“As always, maintaining a stable, safe, and secure online-gaming experience for legitimate players is a top priority for us, and we’ll be continuing to keep watch on Battle.net and take action as needed.”

So folks remember, cheaters never win, in the end, anyways.

The filmmaker all video game fans love to hate, Mr. Uwe Boll, has announced that he’s making a sequel to Dungeon Siege: In the Name of the King, which, if you saw it, know that it kinda sucked, even if it starred bad-ass actor Jason Statham. The sequel will drop the Dungeon Siege title, and will only be called “Name of the King 2″.

While Statham won’t be returning for the sequel (we wonder why?), action legend Dolph Lundgren will take the title role, and will play “war vet who somehow gets transported back in time and ends up in “some sort of medieval power struggle.”, according to Bloginity.
