According to NPD, Just Dance and its sequel, Just Dance 2, have sold a combined 3 million units in the US, and 2 million in the UK, according to MCV. So it’s of no surprise that Just Dance 3 is in development and expected next year.
Activision and developer Infinity Ward have been in a tough battle over the past year, and since Infinity Ward signed a new deal with EA, things got even more spicy. Now Activision claims that EA has conspired with Infinity Ward to hurt the company, and have now added EA to the lawsuit as a “cross-defendant”. Activision is asking for $400 million from EA, for
“actual and punitive damages from EA and the former executives, including profits Activision would have made but for EA’s interference, costs incurred in rebuilding the affected studio, and damages suffered as a result of delays and disruptions.”
As they said in Bad Boys 2, “This shit just got real”.

Just about every game that comes out of Blizzard has been a critical acclaim. World of Warcraft topped the charts of the MMO world, Diablo I and II have caused strides in their respective genres and StarCraft has spawned nation celebrities in South Korea.
StarCraft 2 looks to be no different with high ratings across the board. However, seeing how the game is currently still $60 perhaps you’re a bit skeptical over whether or not you actually want to buy it.
Luckily, it was announced today that Blizzard has finally released a demo for the game giving players a look at the first 3 campaign levels completely free of charge. Unfortunately, there is no online play so if you want to try that out you’re going to have to buy the actual game.

The founders of Harmonix, developers of Rock Band, have sued their parent company Viacom over unpaid bonuses with recent Rock Band games. Harmonix was acquired by MTV and Viacom just before the first Rock Band game became a huge success.
Harmonix founders claim their deal had them awarded a share of the profit of the Rock Band franchise over $32 million, but Viacom did what’s known as “Hollywood accounting”, meaning they shuffled money around and made deals so that Rock Band technically never made a profit. Even though it grossed hundreds of millions of dollars.

Reports have surfaced that say the PS3 will be getting a Splinter Cell Trilogy release that will see some of Tom Clancy’s greatest games repackaged and remade for use with Sony’s new console.
Unfortunately, other than the fact that Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory will make the jump, we don’t have much more information. Luckily, with 2011 right around the corner, that’s all going to change soon enough.

Call of Duty has become one of the most popular FPS franchises in the world. Not only did Modern Warfare 2 cause massive waves, Black Ops only just recently hit store shelves and was no different. However, now that Call of Duty: Black Ops has been on the market for quit some time, Treyarch is already starting to think towards the future. And by the future I mean a DLC map pack dubbed First Strike.
Confirmed by Microsoft’s own Major Nelson, the First Strike Black Ops DLC pack will be hitting on February 1st exclusively for the Xbox 360. According to Nelson, this pack will focus mostly on multiplayer but will also include a single map for use with the game’s popular zombie mode.
Like I said above, the First Strike DLC pack will be hitting first for the Xbox 360 with the PS3 version coming at a later date.

Well, this comes as no surprise to many: the Humble Indie Bundle 2 has surpassed $1 million in revenue since they started, and are currently at $1,182,414. Not bad, considering gamers can pay whatever they want for the bundle, even if it’s just 1 cent (the average is just over $7). The bundle includes the games Braid, Machinarium, Cortex Command, Osmos, and Revenge of the Titans.
I addition, the bundle is now redeemable on Steam as well — on the download page, you can get a key to redeem your games on Steam and Desura as well.
