According to new details regarding the upcoming PSP2, we now hear that it will likely feature an OLED touchscreen, according to Japanese newspaper Nikkei, which has a pretty good track record when it comes to things like this.

In addition, PSP2 is set to have mobile 3G support as well, meaning players will easily be able to download games and play multiplayer online, where ever they are. Sony will be unveiling the PSP2 later this week, according to Nikkei.

Visceral Games’ Dead Space has been applauded for its top notch game play, stunning visuals and compelling story. However, seeing how the game is still priced around $20, folks who have yet to pick up the game may still be iffy to do so. Luckily, PC gamers will be happy to hear that Dead Space has been dropped to $6.80 on Steam for a limited time.

By a limited time I mean this weekend only so if you’re looking to get down on this deal, you better do so fast.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is one of the most popular video game consoles on the market but it is not without its gripes. As you’re sure to know the infamous red ring of death plagued earlier versions of the console which had gamers sending their console for repair only to wait several weeks before hearing anything. Luckily, things have evened out but, to some, the controller is still not perfect.

Luckily, Razer has been developing a controller for some time dubbed the Onzo that includes a more ergonomic design, improved D-pad, 2 programmable buttons and an extra long 15-foot cable. Coming in two different versions a standard version and Tournament edition the Onza is available for pre-order now at $39.99 and $49.99, respectively. There aren’t too many differences between the two as the Tournament edition features a rubberized design for additional grip while the standard version only features a textured grip – everything else is the same.

Seriously, what is it with fan-made short films of popular genre that makes them all aspire to look the same, with the same editing, same color grading, heck, even the actors look the same. The Black Mesa short film is out, and while it’s not our cup of tea, we have to admit the visual effects a pretty well done.

Bulletstorm is the latest PC game to support Nvidia’s 3D vision, its tech for playing 3D games on the PC. Of course, you’ll need a potent GeForce graphics card that supports Nvision, and not to mention a 3D monitor and some 3D glasses. Those things combined can run you around $1000, so it’s a sizable investment for 3D, as expected. But if you’re one of those who already has the tech, rest assured that Bulletstorm will project its blood and gore in 3D for you.

With dedicated portable consoles just over the horizon like the Nintendo 3DS and the rumored PSP2 gamers everywhere are psyched to take high definition and even 3D gaming on the go. However, everyday hard hitting titles are released for the various mobile phones on the market making it less practical to carry around, say, both an iPhone and a Nintendo DS. While Nintendo doesn’t seem to be too scared, Capcom seems to be scared for Nintendo.

Below is a quote from the iconic gaming company:

“The casual gamer that used to play on the PC and the hardcore gamer that used to play on a dedicated gaming portable now plays on their smartphone. The iPhone and larger smartphone markets are extremely important to Capcom as, like no device before, smartphones have the potential to become a universal game platform. We have a lot of stuff on the horizon for both hardcore and casual gamers, so 2011 is shaping up to be huge on Capcom’s mobile front.”

If Capcom, one of the biggest game developers/publishers, thinks this then there is definitely some heat behind it. Of course, I don’t know how many gamers would actually prefer a touchscreen joystick over a physical one but perhaps that will change in the near future. And you know, the PlayStation Phone is rumored to be launching soon and all which will without a doubt work to support Capcom’s claims.

Major League Gaming (MLG) is the biggest professional gaming league in the United States. Holding multiple competitions a year the company has picked up various titles along the way such as StarCraft II and Tekken 6 but their flagship title remains to be Halo. Currently on Halo: Reach, much debate has went into what the next version of MLG’s competition gameplay settings should be. A major gripe with the current settings is the fact that the Sprint Armor Ability is included – something that was absent from every previous Halo.

Well, for those of you hoping Sprint will be removed in the next version of the settings, you may want to look away. MLG has just released an announcement stating that Sprint will in fact be included in version 3 of their competition settings.

Hey, at least they don’t add Armor Lock, right?

Read their full explanation after the break.
