Dead Space sells 2 million copies in first week

February 2nd, 2011
EA released its financial results today which showed an overall loss of $322 million for the third Quarter, but they also revealed some great news on behalf of Dead Space 2: the horror game has sold 2 million copies in its first week of release, which is a lot better than the original game, which is usually the case with sequels, especially those getting great reviews (read our Dead Space 2 review here). It’s unclear whether the 2 million include the iPhone/iPad and mobile versions of the game.

EA also reported that the company now employs 7,742 people, down from 8,537 last year. They also mentioned that 22 percent of the workforce was in “low cost” areas, which means they’re employed anywhere but in the US.
