As you’re sure to know the recent natural disasters that went down in Japan have really shaken up a lot of industries. The video game industry has felt the hurt from the quake as well as several companies have been forced to suspend various services. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the upcoming BioShock Infinite, which is scheduled for release about a year from now, in 2012. BioShock Infinite creative director Ken Levine, and one of the heads of Irrational Games, has come out and said that they plan no support for PlayStation Move motion controls, saying that they “never want to throw in Move support just because it’s going to make some first party happy.” Zing!

However, Levine stated that they won’t rule out the possibility of having 3D support for Infinite — a feature that would certainly please Sony and a lot of PC gamers who have invested into 3D technology. Honestly, we really don’t care about motion controls and 3D, as long as BioShock Infinite story and gameplay is as awesome as it was in the original BioShock.

Unfortunately, we have to wait a whole year until we can play the game. And that’s if the game isn’t delayed. And it better no be :)

The original Grand Theft Auto was a ground breaking game, and a game that put DMA Design on the developer map. Originally called “Race’n'Chase”, the game was intended to be a lot less violent than GTA came to be. According to DMA Design, the goal of the game was to “produce a fun, addictive, and fast multi-player car racing and crashing game which uses a novel graphics method.”. As we know, the result was a lot cooler, and a lot more violent than that. Check out more of the design docs on Flickr here.

Many of the famous GTA features were in there from the get go, like lots of pedestrians and the ability to steal cars. The rest, as they say, is history, and Grand Theft Auto is today one of the biggest franchises in gaming, with tens of millions of copies sold.

According to director DJ Caruso, who directed Disturbia and Eagle Eye, the Dead Space movie is still in production. The movie was announced back in 2009, but we weren’t given any details nor updates until now. Caruso spoke to the German press about the movie, in an interview you can see above.

According to Caruso, they tried to create a story for a prequel to Dead Space but it didn’t work out, and he mentioned that the Dead Space movie was being produced by the producers of Twilight… yes, that Twilight, the girly vampire movies everyone love to hate. As for Dead Space, we hope they can try and stay true to the game, or at leas,t its chilly and scary atmosphere.

While the Xbox 360 controller has been regarded by many as one of the best console controllers of recent memory, there are some gripes with it. Competitive gamers will probably know that analog sticks on many of the Xbox 360 controllers have been known to be defective causing slow turning in games like Halo. Luckily, Razer has been known for some time to be releasing the Razer Onza – a tournament quality Xbox 360 controller with things like adjustable resistance analog sticks, backlit keys, programmable buttons and a 15 foot cable that is either braided or not depending on if you’re going for the Razer Onza Tournament Edition which retails for $49.99 or the regular Razer Onza which retails for just $39.99.

While the controllers aren’t the most expensive accessories in the world, perhaps you want to check out what they are like before actually slapping down an order. Well, lucky for you a video has just appeared on YouTube showing off the controller with the video’s creator, Hutch, telling us what he likes about the controller and then proceeding to play Black Ops with it.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

We don’t even need to tell you about the immense success regarding Minecraft as the independently developed game has graduated from having just a cult following to being to nothing short of a phenomenon.

However, Minecraft is still in beta which means it has much room to grow. Not too long ago we let us know that Mojang Specifications would be bringing wolves to the game which you can tame and have do your biddings including slaughtering cows. But another more substantial feature has been known to be coming to the game in the form of achievements. However we haven’t heard much in terms of when exactly achievements will be added to the game or what they will be like.

Luckily, the game’s original developer Markus Persson (commonly referred to as Notch) has recently come forth to give some information regarding the feature. Apparently, work on Minecraft achievements have already begun and, according to Persson, will not be something tedious like cutting down a million trees. Instead, they will feature creative things such as riding a pig off a cliff.

Additionally, a statistic system ill be implemented into the game that will allow gamers to see how much work they’ve done including how many trees they’ve cut down and things of the like. When will it go live? We aren’t exactly sure but we’ll keep you posted.

For more information check out Notch’s official blog here.
