The Nintendo 3DS has been on the market for a little while not garnering positive reception pretty much across the board. While there are many different titles currently on the market the console’s library is sure to expand with high quality games as time goes on.
One title gamers have been earning for information on is the 3DS’ Harvest Moon. Dubbed Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Tales, this new addition to the game will allow gamers to do all of the things they’ve come to know and love in previous games including tending to a farm and interactive with members of society.
Another important thing to make note of is the fact that regardless of if you have a Nintendo 3DS or DS you will be able to get down on this game the reason being that Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Tales will see a simultaneous release on both consoles. Expect the game to be out sometime this summer and we’ll keep you posted as more information is made available.

Street Fighter is without a doubt one of the most well known fighting franchises on the market today. Developed by Capcom, the franchise has made its way onto a whole slew of different consoles. The most recent release, Street Fighter IV, has actually seen two iterations – one being the normal version and one being Super Street Figther IV which has some new content including characters and moves.
However, there is also another version of the game dubbed Super Street Fighter IV Arcade which adds even more content including Evil Ryu, Oni, Yun and Yang alongside some other gameplay tweaks. Originally, Capcom said the game would never be coming to consoles but it seems that they will be refuting that claim in the near future.
The reason we say this is because a trailer for the Capcom Captivate has just leaked which shows that the content featured within the Arcade edition. No release date for the DLC pack was released but rumor has it that it will be coming sometime in June.
Check out the leaked trailer after the break.

Minecraft has largely become one of the most well known indie games of all time. Not only has it managed to generate millions of dollars worth of revenue but it also introduced us to new and innovative gameplay that at first blush seems quite simple but is good for hours upon hours of fun. Well, if you’re a diehard fan of the title you’ll be happy to know that Mojang Specifications has just come forth to give the game an official release date. But wait, you may ask yourself, isn’t Minecraft already out? Yes, but it’s currently only in a beta which just adds to the amazement of all the money it’s raked in thus far.
However, the release date focuses on the final build of the game which will hopefully have all of the kinks worked out. Anyways, the magical release date it November 11th, 2011 or 11/11/11. Unfortunately there was no word of what new features the final build will have but we’ll keep you posted as more information is made available.

SSX is a very iconic snowboarding game as it allows gamers to perform over the top tricks while speeding through over the top terrain. So far, the SSX franchise has seen many different titles spanning many different platforms. The latest addition to the series, as you may or may not know, was previously dubbed SSX Dead Descents with a dev diary for the game coming out not too long ago. Well, it seems that EA has decided to do away witnh the Deadly Descents subtitle instead opting for just SSX.
Speaking with Game Informer, SSX’s creative director Todd Batty let us know that the decision to drop the title came when they realized it highlighted only a single game mode featured within the game. Furthermore, it will also help the studio reboot the series and set a new benchmark for games to come.
What do you think of their decision to drop Dead Descents from the title? Good idea or bad? Let us know.
We can officially take Minecraft from an “underground, indie hit”, to a “huge hit”, possible, “mainstream hit”. Minecraft creator Notch has announced that the game has generated $33 million in revenue so far. Which is absolutely stunning, considering that the game was originally made by one guy, and that their total team now counts less than a dozen people.
The $33 million in revenue came from over 800,000 games sold at 10 Euros for the alpha version only. How many developers can claim their alpha version game has sold almost a million copies of an alpha version of their game? None besides Minecraft developer Mojang, we expect. According to the stats page, there are currently 1,813,527 paying customers for Minecraft.
GameStop isn’t the most popular name among gamers (unless you’re very keen on pre-ordering things and signing up for extra services), and it certainly isn’t popular among indie PC developers, as it almost never carries indie games. Last week, GameStop took over Impulse, a PC game download service, and with it, got access to the downloadable scene and a lot of downloadable titles.
Except one: Star Ruler. Developer Blind Mind Studios has removed their indie title Star Ruler from the now GameStop-owned Impulse, in protest over how GameStop treats PC indie developers. The developer issued a statement, saying:
“We are ending sales through Impulse due to GameStop’s long, negative behavior toward the PC platform and independent games. We would never have signed onto distribution through GameStop, and being forced into this situation has only made it worse for us.”
Blind Mind Studios reassured that they’ll continue to deliver updates and patches through Impulse, they just won’t be selling the game through the service any longer.

BioWare is one of the more loved development studios on the market today with the Mass Effect franchise, in particular, causing waves. However, they’ve also been causing quite a bit of buzz with their Dragon Age franchise as well which usually receives critical acclaim across the board. In fact, it seems that reception for Dragon Age II was so high that BioWare has just come forth to announce that the game has managed to sell 1 million units. Normally, this wouldn’t be too much of a cause for commotion but BioWare is giving back to the community in a big way.
According to the studio, those who purchased a copy of Dragon Age II can now download a free copy of Mass Effect 2 for the PC by inputing their online play number at this location. No, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke – they’re literally giving Mass Effect 2 away for free. Hop on it now!

Nintendo has just recently released their glasses-free 3D display touting Nintendo 3DS portable video game console (that was a mouthful) to the public around the world. Already, the console has been garnering positive interesting with gamers applauding the handheld for innovative things such as the 3D camera and included AR (augmented reality) cards. Due to this popularity, Sony is going to need to hurry up and get the NGP (commonly referred to as the PSP2) out the door before it’s too late.
Unfortunately, recent reports suggest that Sony has been met with a bump in the road in the form of some natural disasters. We’ve already told you several times in the past that many different companies have fallen victim to the Japanese earthquake and it seems that Sony is no different. According to these reports, Sony has been forced to delay the release of the NGP until sometime in 2012 due to the earthquake.
Word comes to us straight from the mouth of SCEA president Jack Tretton who says the May 11th natural disasters may result in just a single region seeing the NGP before the end of the year. This goes against previous plans of releasing the NGP is Asia and North America before the clock strikes 2012. Which region will be getting the NGP first? We aren’t quite sure just yet but we’ll keep you posted as the story develops.

The entire Killzone franchise has done quite well for itself despite remaining exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation 3. The latest game, Killzone 3, in particular has managed to become one of the best looking games ever to be released for a home video game console. However, just because the game has received some critical acclaim since it was released does not mean it’s perfect. In fact, those who play Killzone 3 online will know that despite being on the market for quite some time it has not yet received the ability to support custom multiplayer games.
Luckily, Guerilla Games has just come forth today to let us know that they will be releasing a brand new patch for the game at some tomorrow (April 5th) bringing with it custom games. Of course, that’s not all that’s being included in the past as a whole slew of bug fixes, PlayStation Move tweaks and more will also be brought to the game.
Check out the full list of updates courtesy of the game’s official website after the break.

The most recent rendition of the franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops is no different even going on to become on of the best selling games of all time.
