EA tries to rip off Call of Duty again, announces Medal of Honor: Warfighter

ON February 24th, 2012 In PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Medal of Honor warfighter

It’s no secret that Activision has been kicking EA’s ass when it comes to first person shooter franchises, although EA did manage to reclaim some territory with Battlefield 3, which was an excellent multiplayer shooter but was severely lacking on the singleplayer front.

EA is ready with another Medal of Honor sequel, looking to compete with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 later this year. What we know so far, and judging by the cover art, they’re squarely aiming to take market share from Activision by imitating them as much as possible. At least MoH: Warfighter will be pretty to look at: it’ll be built using the very excellent Frostbite 2 engine.

Your writer should reconsider renaming the title. Its more like it is trying to compete not copy it…

“rip off call of duty, again”? Really? Medal of honor is the original, it spawned call of duty, and in my opinion, CoD is insanely overrated. Don’t get me wrong, I used to play a lot of CoD 1 and 4, but now it’s just getting crazy. Just goes to show how much marketing and adding some addicting gameplay features will create a golden turd.

Sounds like the article writer is a COD fanboy. Can’t present information from an unbiased perspective? Recuse yourself.
