South Carolina Lt. Govenor Ken Ard has resigned over misuse of campaign money, which went to such things as PlayStation 3s, video games, iPads, and a lot of other stuff not associated with getting re-elected, the New York Times reports.
In all, he spent over $12,000 on illegal purchases and is now facing several criminal charges which could end up costing him seven years in prison. Ard, a Republican, has already paid more than $72,000 in fines associated with the scandal.
