According to the latest rumors, Microsoft isn’t worried one bit about the recently announced PlayStation 4. Sony announced the PS4 on February 20th, and since then, has enjoyed plenty of comfortable hype around the new console.

Xbox 720According to GameFans, Microsoft is very comfortable in what they have, and don’t mind Sony basking in the free press. Until E3, of course, where the next Xbox, or Xbox 720, is expected to be unveiled.

It’ll be interesting to see what tricks the guys at Redmond have up their sleeves. Sony unveiled some rather serious specs on the PS4: 8-core CPU, 8 GB of RAM, and a speedy GPU as well. Rumor has it that the Xbox 720 will have similar specs, built by AMD, who also provides chips for the PS4.

Looks like next gen consoles won’t be much different, after all. It’s a shame, because it’ll give the fanboys less to fight over. On the plus side, developers will be very pleased.
