Borderlands 2 system requirements

Borderlands 2 system requirements

Borderlands 2 system requirements will be similar to the first game, since it’s built on the same game engine — Unreal Engine 3. Borderlands 2 will feature the same cell-shaded style, which isn’t as requiring as the more common “realistic” style. However, it’s been confirmed that the game will feature improved visuals compared to its predecessor, despite being built on the same engine. Safe to say, if your PC ran the first Borderlands game, there’s a big change it’ll run Borderlands 2 just fine, if not better. Here are the full Borderlands 2 system requirements for PC players:

Borderlands 2 system requirements (minimum)

  • CPU: 2 GHz dual core 64-bit Intel or AMD processor
  • RAM: 1GB of system memory
  • Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible 512 MB graphics card, Nvidia 200 series series or AMD Radeon 4000 series.
  • Operating system: Windows XP SP2
  • DirectX compatible sound card
  • 12 GB of hard drive space

Borderlands 2 system requirements (recommended)

  • CPU: 2.8 GHz dual core 64-bit Intel or AMD processor
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Graphics: DirectX 10 compatible 1GB graphics card, Nvidia 400 / AMD 5000 series.
  • Operating system: Windows 7
  • DirectX compatible sound card
  • 12 GB of hard drive space

It says the recommended is the 5000 series, so fi u have a 6000 series card it should be fine somlomg as your processor and memory are good enough. This game is cel shaded and all cel shaded games run smooth as glass on my mid range pc…

@laurence peal: you can’t use integrated graphics… you need a dedicated video card.

yeah you can use integrated graphics infact i have my acer aspire 5733z pentium p6200 dual core 2.13ghz cpu and pentium p6200 integrated intel hd graphics card and 4 gbs ram (64bit cpu) running borderlands 2 on high textures, ultra seeing distance, smoothed fps, etc. pretty much all on high accept my res is down to 1280×720… and of course dynamic lights and dynamic shadows are off… i get a range of 10 to about 70 fps the game runs GREAT just as good as borderlands 1

Usually, integrated vcards will not be able to play modern games well. HOWEVER, AMD’s Llano line does not contain ur ordinary integrated vcard. I have an A8 comp w/ radeon 6620g graphics n it’s giving my $1200 gaming rig a run for its money. Intel HD 3000 can’t play anything smoothly, but the llano family is a beast. If u have an A6/A8 comp, u’ll probably be able to play this on low to Med settings..
